JoGuitar
I say enough of trying to "rest" our guys through the pre-season by bringing in a ton of PTOs. Torts is going to want to build roster intensity and cohesion right from the outset. Don't expect the amount of PTOs as previous years.

TheRussianRocket.
Would love to see Morrison get another shot. He played great during his last tryout, but of course MG decided to sign Schaefer over him His best days are behind him, but he could play a good veteran depth role. Playing back in Vancouver could re-ignite his fire. Plus, Torts could possibly make him play with more intensity. We've got nothing to lose by giving him a tryout. Darth Kane
Yes, they drafted him in the 2nd round a couple years ago. I'd also pick Aliu.

billabong
It's hard to say because we don't know which players would interested in a tryout but if these players are still unsigned, I would give em a tryout Hainsey - to push Alberts for 3rd pair spot with tanev and insurance if corrado isn't ready full time duties Lombardi - not the player he was 3-4 years ago but in a controlled environment I think he can still be an effective bottom six checker Steckel - doubt he will be unsigned but I'd throw him in the mix with Schroeder, gaunce, horvat, lain, Richardson and santorelli for the 3rd or 4th line center positions because the worse possible thing for the Canucks would be too rush one of our prospects Smithson - competition for Schroeder for the 13th forward spot Garon (just in case lack isn't ready) NOTE: remember in recent years the Canucks give out too many tryouts and don't get to see their own players enough on the ice so I would cap it 1-2 players overall (besides a goalie)

Monty
Really hoping the Jets throw something at Morrow. He would be a perfect player on the 3rd line for them.
In the Slot
Boyes and Morrow and thats it. Seriously guys, we need to start letting our young guys play. Look at the teams that are winning, they are winning with youth. Our team is getting old, we need the energy, speed and hunger of younger players in the mix...its time. I wouldn't mind one of the above as a depth guy, injury help etc, and to allow a younger player to be 'worked into the lineup'... but nothing more, would love to see gaunce and jensen given a real shot to play, and give Schroeder and Kassian their real opptys to show they can play...because they can. Bure fan
One or two of the following: PTO: Forwards: Mike Knuble, Simon Gagne, or Steve Sullivan Defenceman: Ron Hainsey, Steve Eminger, or Roman Hamrlik Want to get signed is a different story, these players are likely going to be signed to contracts instead of Pro Try-Outs: one or two of the following: Forwards: Brendan Morrow, Peter Mueller, Matthew Lombardi, Chad LaRose or Brad Boyes Defenceman: Ryan O'Byrne or Ian White
yogolol
Unless if these guys are going to be our fourth line i'd rather put one of our prospects in the lineup instead.
