The rap legend is back, and he's going back to the roots from where it all started, annoucing his new album at the VMA's.

I can't wait, MMLP is easily one of my favourite albums of all time.

Those teasers all sound awful. Thats unfortunate too since those are probably some of the "highlights" of the album. He sounds pretty whiny and annoying, more so than usual.

Eminem is a weird guy to me. I'm not trying to be "that guy", but I've been listening to him since his infinite days but couldn't stand him pretty much half way through the marshall mathers lp. I've never respected the skill of an artist so immensely while simultaneously hating everything he's put out since.

The guy is lyrically probably the most talented rapper ever, but his style is just so awful and his production is terrible. I've never been a fan of dre beats/production.

Although that's just my opinion, not trying to knock anyone else's. He's clearly been incredibly successful doing what he's doing.

Nothing will ever beat his first album he made in 1996.

Infinite.

Great album. I remember being a broke teenager and trying to decide whether to buy eminems infinite album or sebutones 50/50 album. Looking back, it's amazing that one would ever mention those two artists/groups in the same sentence.

The 1st albums are often the best. No fancy beats or features, they have to concentrate on the lyrics for anyone to take notice.

Illmatic

Infinite

Reasonable doubt

list goes on.

Illmatic had some of the nicest beatmakers ever on it. Pete Rock,,Dj Premier, Large Professor and Q Tip.

Operation : Doomsday by MF Doom is a nice one to add to the list also.

stoked for this, he's going for a mega beastie boys sound/video in that preview link, it looks like something from the licensed to ill/so watcha want video era.

Though I find his voice almost unlistenable now, it has changed so severely (drug/alcohol abuse back in the day), and since his producer insists on doubling it in almost every song, it's just has become almost unbearable. There's just no rawness to it anymore and I simply can't enjoy his music outsid eof his first three albums as a result
