He's my top goal for the Canucks next season because I dont care too much about how we perform, I just want to watch the team play hockey and see the young kids develop. Mr.53 Posted August 7, 2014 Share Posted August 7, 2014 With how deep the 2014 draft is at the top. (the whole first round is good but the top 10 is phenomenal, much like 2013.) Matt Barzal could go anywhere from 3-8. It probably won't mean much since I don't think we will finish that low, but say we do finish the same spot we did this year at 6. Barzal could be a stud, and work so well with Virtanen. I really think they would be the replacement to Henrik and Daniel, but in different styles.
