Chronic.Canuck
Kenins' team, ZSC Lions of the Swiss League has their last regular season game on March 4th. Whether or not they make the playoffs (I believe they are one of the better teams in their league) he will be done early enough to join the Comets late season, or even the Canucks if he impresses enough. Either way, he will be in North America full time starting next season as his obligation to the Lions will be fulfilled. He'll join Gaunce, Fox, and Shinkaruk among others in Utica next September barring any of them making the big club.

ZSC is the best team in the league, they'll probably have a decent playoff run - if they get to the finals they'll be done in mid-April. So he might be able to join Utica for the last couple of games, just to get a cameo in. Of course, ZSC could still get bounced early... the Comets are going to be stacked next fall though! Canada Hockey Place
On the first post is mention him a 6'0, 201lbs. I've seen him recently at listed at 6'4, 205lbs. Typo? Or is he yet another late grower, like Tanev, Lain? Looking forward to SWE vs LAT Feb 15th. http://www.sochi2014.com/en/ice-hockey-men-s-prelim-round-group-c-

He's 6'0"

Plum
Latvia plays tomorrow morning at 9AM against the Switzerland, I don't think it will be on TV in Canada, but maybe a internet stream. He is #91.

avelanch
looks like Girgersons is their center too, so my completely wishful line of Kenins - Girgersons - Indrasis actually came true!
avelanch
ohhh indrasis gets the first penalty of the game (high sticking on a follow through on a dump in)
elvis15
Looks like Girgensons and Indrasis are getting 1st and 2nd unit PP time, but haven't seen Kenins on any special teams when I've been watching.
elvis15
Nice move there by Kenins after Girgensens forced the puck in at the blue line. Kenins grabbed the puck and drove up the slot to take a shot that just went over (maybe deflected). EDIT: Was reading Elliotte Friedman's 30 thoughts today and he noted #29 for the Latvians (Friebergs) is a 22 year old undrafted defenceman who plays for Bowling Green in North America. It'll be interesting to see what he does in this tournament.
elvis15
Indrasis had a couple of chances that period too, a better effort from Latvia overall from what I was able to watch.
