Master Mind
Great deal for 1M. With Clarkson and Kessel possibly out, Raymond could slot into the top 6. Great opportunity for him if that happens.
Drouin
Gillis out GM'd again.. Raymond looked great with Bozak/Kessel.
Hunter.S-Kerouac
do we have enough money to offer sheet Fransen? I don't think we do. Also May Ray for a Mill is a steal. Grumble
Sidney Crosby.
Great deal for the Leafs and Raymond. I hope Mason is able to return to his pre spinal injury form.
DeltaSierra
Based on the fact that he signed for that amount, would you want MayRay for 1million? I would take him over a few of our other players we currently have. He played the PK for us and was exciting to watch sometimes.
kloubek
Good for him. Surprised he wasn't signed prior to pre-season. Also surprised he couldn't get more than a million. Though I gotta wonder... even as a 3rd liner, do you guys not feel he would have been a decent contributor here for 1m?
poetica
Exactly what I thought he would get - 1 year @ $1M thanks to the cap. Proof that the NHLPA was right about the middle class players paying for the forced lower cap because owners still can't stop themselves from overpaying the big names. Coconuts
That's a pretty solid deal for Toronto, but hopefully he can thrive and move on to another team for a better payday. I'd hate to have to hate him long term.

DeNiro
Very true. I don't agree. Although I'm not a huge fan of Sesttio, we need what he brings in the playoffs more than Raymond right now. We've seen what having a team full of soft skilled players in the playoffs gets us. I think the Raymond experiment should have come to an end two years ago. We gave that guy many second chances. TheRussianRocket.
Very true. Can't say that cause Raymond sucked in Vancouver alongside good players like Burrows, Kesler, Higgins...heck he even failed to produce with the Sedins. People jumping the gun here but it's only preseason...let's see hoe he performs in the regular season and even if he does well then, he'll demand $3+ next year cause we all know he does well during contacts years...and that comparisons to Sestito is garbage; Sestito is an enforcer, Raymond is a twig. Dragonfruits
its a great deal and he will succeed in the East where it is less physical than the West that's why regardless of how much he could of signed here he just doesn't belong in the West
Caboose
Nonis had better find a taker for Liles or we may need to endure another year of Korbinian Holzer.
DeNiro
Leafs 3rd line of: Raymond - Bolland - Kulemin.. solid. If that was the Canucks third line, fans would be saying it was the softest, worst third line in the league.
canuck2xtreme
Good for Mason, I think he's going to thrive there. He's a far better player than many in Canuck Nation give him credit for.
Del Rio
If that was the Canucks third line, fans would be saying it was the softest, worst third line in the league. not with Bolland in the middle. He brings it every playoffs
elvis15
I'm surprised they signed him this early, particularly before hearing about any fallout that might result from last night's game. I guess at $1M it won't be that great an impact, but they'll be tight to the cap if they need replacement players brought up once the season begins and it certainly doesn't bode well for them re-signing Franson. I'd be tempted to agree somewhat if you hadn't mentioned playoffs. Raymond certainly hasn't been the best playoff performer but Sestito hasn't either. There's less likely to be a need for his role on the team as well once playoffs start, where he could add benefit to the team in the regular season against the teams in the Pacific that are getting bigger.
