zombieksa
Based on the fact that he signed for that amount, would you want MayRay for 1million? I would take him over a few of our other players we currently have. He played the PK for us and was exciting to watch sometimes. For that price I would take 2 Raymonds
redhdlois
Good luck MayRay! I hope you have a great season !
LostViking
Very good deal for the Leafs at that price. I'm not too concerned about him signing cheap as IMO the Canucks were not going to get him at that price. He wanted a legitimate contract with us or another team, when he didn't get anything he accepted his fate and took whatever he could get (PTO). Canucks had 60+ players coming to their camp, and specifically wanted to give their prospects extra opportunity, I completely understand why he didn't ask the Canucks to join their camp and went to TO instead. Henrik Kesler
Good deal for Toronto. As much as Canucks fans and CDC hates MayRay, he is a good hockey player and you could tell he was closer to being the 40+ point Mason Raymond last year. He'll do well in TO, and sadly, will be their best possession player, which should tell you all you need to know about TO's chances at making the playoffs in an 82 game season. Darth Kane
LOL!!!! Haha loving this news. Leaves are among the biggest jokes in professional sports and it feels soooo good seeing them signing our unwanted scraps. Adios Mason, break a leg! LOL!!!!!!!! $1 million for Raymond is a solid deal, he'll play on the third line with Bolland and Kumelin and they'll form an effective shotdown line that has the ability to add some offense. I know Raymond isn't a star, but he can be more than he was in Vancouver if used properly.
BurrsArrows
Was my favourite player, was hoping he would sign with a younger team (Ottawa, New Jersey) But best of luck anyways!

Leaves are among the biggest jokes in professional sports and it feels soooo good seeing them signing our unwanted scraps. Adios Mason, break a leg! LOL!!!!!!!! what a moron. 1 million for a player like raymond is a steal. People seem to forget that he was also a 2 way forward in our system before he score his 25 goal season. LeanBeef
Good for him. Even though I hate Leafs fans, at least they'll appreciate him
Moonshinefe
I'm actually a bit surprised it was only $1mil. Toronto just got a steal if they got a 15 goal scoring, 3rd line checker that can play the PK and is a veteran. And this is coming to someone who isn't even a Raymond fan at all

Canuck or Die
It may be a good deal, but he was useless for us. We needed to move on. I don't know why some people suddenly forget that.
Mollyworld
Was my favourite player, was hoping he would sign with a younger team (Ottawa, New Jersey) But best of luck anyways! You do realize that TO has been top three, if not the youngest team in the league for the last 4 years?
apollo
Terrific money ball signing. I can't believe he only got a million... Wish we kept him at that...
Me_
After yesterday they must need cheaper depth. Will they move Franson? VAN Franson VAN Booth Schroeder
Xbox
Clarkson's 10 game suspension is probably why Raymond was signed today

New Jersey isn't that young. A few young players that's it. Toronto had one of the, if not the youngest team
DownUndaCanuck
Would have taken Raymond for 1M any day. With Kassian not yet showing us much and Weise far from a proven 4th liner, Raymond would have been a perfect fit for this team, maybe with Schroeder. elvis15
You do realize that TO has been top three, if not the youngest team in the league for the last 4 years? Not quite, but close enough. They've been 4th youngest this year and last and were 3rd youngest for the two years prior to that. http://stats.nhlnumbers.com/teams?year=2014
sockeye
All the best to Mason Raymond. Glad he was able to land with a Canadian team (and glad he's not in our division!). I think he'll be stronger this year and put up more points.
