sting
Personally think MG is keeping Horvat to save face. The goalie he traded has let in one goal in 3 games and has a save % of .990 If he sends the kid back he reminds the hockey world he gets raped on every trade. Bad move, kid is not ready, Shink "Maybe" but even he im concerned about size and getting RNH syndrome and injuries when the men start playing like men. Exhibition guys dont hit as much as they are trying to stay healthy themselves...it changes next week. Horvat, shame on you MG shame.
ImallinRU
Not that surprised...they've earned their way. Really excited, especially about Hunter in what we've seen so far. He is so passionate about the game...really love his enthusiasm as well as the talent he's already shown. Hope they do well.
Pears
They will have great NHL carriers guaranteed... Gaunce & Jensen are up in the air still & schroeder is done...
Absent Canuck
Great. Thanks. I thought Neely had turned 19. The Sedins were 20? And Ohlund? I thought they all snuck in as teenagers.
Dragonfruits
Where's Gaunce Jensen & Schroeder? Exactly where I said they'd be. All too soft.... Bo & Hunter are real players like I said as well & will up to 9 games before going back to dominae for 1 more year.... We still need a trade as I'm not sold on Bootha at all & we still need more size when the real hockey starts, PLAYOFFS ...Corrado will be back for sure, ... Rypien37
Both in the line-up for game 1? Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Booth - Kesler - Shinkaruk Higgins - Horvat - Hansen Sestito - Richardson - Weise Santorelli
Absent Canuck
I think Bo is ready for 4th line duty but his home team is hosting the Memorial cup so ....... God I hope Hunter makes the team and to top off the Calder he scores a hat trick right in Calgary.

stawns
John Shannon @JSportsnet 1h The right call IMO. They've earned their spots. And this team needs the youth that they bring. Let's see how they do and how long they stay up here. Best of luck to both!
wallstreetamigo
As expected...I'm guessing Horvat goes down to Junior as Schroeder will be back in a couple of weeks and Shinkaruk stays...mad that Booth is back cause now he'll be 'wasting' a spot on the 2nd line when Shinkaruk can be there, except if Booth is given a bottom 6 role. dank.sinatra
Should have been Gaunce and Shinkaruk. Horvat looked pretty lost in most pre-season games while Gaunce looked a lot closer to me but whatever I'm still excited to see him get some real games in. Shinkaruk is a beast can't wait until he develops physically.

Tangelos
Horvat like Corrado has made very few mistakes all training camp, he has stolen many pucks and won puck battles. He has been good in the faceoff circle and made many precision passes including some for assists. He is just as deserving of a regular season tryout as Shinkaruk. As I have said before though they will have to average more than a point a game to stick past 9 games. They can't be sent down to the AHL like Corrado just was if they stick they have to play the whole year with the Canucks or sit on the bench or press box due to league rules for 18 year olds. bongo4420
You knew they were going to be on the opening day roster the day they were drafted. This is purely politics. Aquilini and Gillis are just trying to save face for the Luogno debacle. The organization is also desperate to have any young player contribute after 5 years of abject drafting failure. They're sacrificing the long term development of these players to make themselves look good. Judging by these reaction on these boards their marketing is working.
