bongo4420
Personally think MG is keeping Horvat to save face. The goalie he traded has let in one goal in 3 games and has a save % of .990 If he sends the kid back he reminds the hockey world he gets raped on every trade. Bad move, kid is not ready, Shink "Maybe" but even he im concerned about size and getting RNH syndrome and injuries when the men start playing like men. Exhibition guys dont hit as much as they are trying to stay healthy themselves...it changes next week. Horvat, shame on you MG shame.
73 Percent
You knew they were going to be on the opening day roster the day they were drafted. This is purely politics. Aquilini and Gillis are just trying to save face for the Luogno debacle. The organization is also desperate to have any young player contribute after 5 years of abject drafting failure. They're sacrificing the long term development of these players to make themselves look good. Judging by these reaction on these boards their marketing is working. ImallinRU
When was the last time we had TWO 18 year olds in the line up?
Rollieo Del Fuego
Point a game is a bit of a stretch. I think if Shinkaruk can put up 6 points he'll stick around and if Horvat is defensively sound like Couturier was in his first year then he'll stick around as well

Legend Killer
Looking forward to it. Nobody deserves it more than Bo, great kid. I hope he's 3C.

ImallinRU
Jensen and Schroeder are hurt and Schroeder will most likely be replacing one of the rookies if they do get sent down
CookieCrumbs
Good time to give them both a look. I'm hoping Kassian and Schroeder are back in the line up once their issues are all sorted. I would say send Bo down, and if Shinkaruk is playing as he has, find a way to keep him in the line up.
ice orca
Well, MG clearly has to make sure the optics are good on the CS trade because gaunce outplayed them both despite playing with plugs while they played with actual players.
Avicii
Wouldn't be shocked if Horvat stays with the team all year, but Gillis picks up a veteran 3C at the deadline just in case. (Boyle?)

ImallinRU
Ok genius? Who deserves it more than Horvat? Are you implying that you would rather Bo play junior games than get a taste of NHL speed and strength? Kid has 2 apples, has been lights out in the dot and solid positionally last 3 games. He and Shink have been as impressive as any 18 yr olds since Bourdon and Linden. And that includes Hodgson! Odds are he'll be back in London once Kassian and Schroeder come back. Would you prefer Schneider or Luongo and Horvat? What trades should he have made?
ImallinRU
He's not implying that Bo is not gonna be good, I think he's saying Schneider is arguably the top goalie in the world NOW & Bo is never gonna be the top centre in the league but he still will be good player & we needed help NOW...MG wanted more for Luongo than just a 1st rd pick then he gives up our younger * better goalie for less then what he was shopping Luuongo for.... Cold Hard Truth
Personally dont think the Kids are ready but here u go Sedin-Sedin-Burrows Booth-Kesler-Shinkaruk Higgins-Santorelli-Hansen Sestito-Horvat-Richardson once the kids go back and Kass returns... my lineup would be Game 6 and on Sedin-Sedin-Kassian Booth-Kesler-Burrows Higgins-Santorelli-Hansen Sestito/Weise -K.Lain-Richardson
