vcrguy
They're 3 and 0. They don't have their # 1 free agent signing playing yet and Bernier has looked good when he's played. Vancouver did nothing but sign a 4th liner in the off season and lost yet another game to SJ in the season opener. I actually believe the Leafs are a legit cup contender and would beat Vancouver in a 7 game playoff series.

Peaches
Flames > Canucks because 2 games in they're ahead of us. We're 2 or 3 games in. Why are people making assumptions?
Patrick Kane
I think so. Top notch offensive players in Kessel, Lupul, van Riemsdyk, Kadri. Toughness and grit in Clarkson, McLaren, Orr, Phaneuf, Fraser Excellent defensive players in Bozak, Bolland, McClement, Kulemin, Gunnarsson, Ranger Stellar offensive defenseman in Phaneuf, Gardiner and Franson Two young goalies on the upside of their career in Bernier and Reimer. They got all the right pieces, just need to click. Luckily they are a young team and will only keep on improving. Could see a cup in 2-3 years. Nas19
Just like Bmac said... 2 weeks in the NHL season doesn't mean crap. 3 weeks is a bit more legit, while 4 weeks you can take it to the bank. We're like half a week in.
Xbox
wtf why a thread like this? Didn't we win 6-2?
Tom Sestito
I don't think this is something you look at and say "oh it's only 2 games in." Last year, all my friends etc thought the leafs wouldn't make the playoffs, but I said they would. Leafs imo are better right now than us.
Armada
Kessel's a stud and Leafs are my #2 but Canucks still have a little edge.
RyanKeslord17
Definitely. Top 6 is much more offensively stacked up. Bottom 6 has a very good 3C (Bolland) and they're D is looking pretty good. Bernier has been great too. The Canucks however have some players out and more vets around.

Brad Marchand
The Leafs are deeper on forward, more or less even on defense, and have good goaltending provided that one of Bernier or Reimer can play consistently (that is a bit of an if, though). Still haven't seen them put it together in an 82-game season, but they should be ready to. Are they better than Vancouver? They certainly can be, but they need to prove it (at least that's the way I see it).
TheRussianRocket.
..Is this some kind of joke? Bozak would be 3rd line C on this team and tops 2nd on most others. They have a poor defense and a huge question mark in the crease...watch them be fighting for a playoff spot when the season is nearing the end...Kessel, Lupul make them dangerous and their solid depth upfront but other than that, they're no way close to us. Vancouver - especially the Sedins - destroy them 100 times out of 99 anyday.

Red Light Racicot
If I admit they are, will that stop the constant trolling? I understand that the posters who do this tend to cheer for both teams, but that doesnt actually make any difference. That's nice that you've finally got a competitive team in Toronto. Now please give it a rest.
Smashian Kassian
Canucks have better defense & goaltending, better center depth, the Leafs have better winger depth. When you break it down, winger depth is the only area in which the Leafs are better than us. So no, I don't think they are officially better than us. Otis
No. The Leafs are not better than us nor will they be in the future IMO. They're a team filled with overpaid overrated forwards with a couple of studs mixed in.
