watch hodgson out play kesler to prove we made the wrong choice...... he out played kesler all year and got no ice time as a reward.

no, he did get rewarded - with a trip to Buffalo, where one-dimensional rookies who have an undeveloped two way game can get thrown in way over their head and get all the ice time and unmanageable matchups their young heart desires.

If we don't maul this sad sack of a team I will be disappointed. They embody the word mediocre.

Hodgson can have no points or I will not listen to the radio the next day or two to hear about how bad the Hodgson Kassian trade was for us and how great Hodgson is

@sportsnetmurph
#canucks Sedins split up for practice. Tortorella says he's not sure if that's how they'll start vs BUF.

So maybe something like this?

Higgins - H.Sedin - Kesler
D.Sedin - Santorelli - Hansen
Booth - Schroeder - Kassian
Sestito - Richardson - Weise

I personally hope Hodgson and Kassian do great things. 1 goal each tonight...

Canucks should bounce a clearly rebuilding team; 4-2 Canucks.

Anyone up for a Myers / Edler swap, lol?

Why? Are we rebuilding? I'd rather have Edler than the massively overrated Myers. Everyone overrates him because he is so tall.

I really hope that the lineup which won it for Torts last game can develop chemistry and stay intact.

Higgins - Hank - Kes
Danny - Santorelli - Hansen
Booth - Schroeder - Kassian
Sestito - Richardson - Weise

With Burrows back

Higgins - Hank - Kes
Danny - Santorelli - Burrows
Booth - Schroeder - Kassian
Weise - Richardson - Hansen

That is some sick, playoff-type depth.

I want to see Schroeder with D. Sedin. Santorelli would work well with Booth since they have chemistry from the days in FLA.

Cool and yet if he's so good why does his team only have one win? If he's such an elite first line center you would think he would be able to guide his team to a win and score some clutch goals wouldn't you.

The thing is anyone can get points if they're put on the first line. Look at Hertl. Remember Anson Carter? How about Pyatt?

Nobody is saying he is elite, but he is a solid player, and still getting better.

Thats one of the worst arguments you can make. The best goal scorer in the NHL (Stamkos) cannot seem to lead his team to the playoffs. If we didnt have the Sedins, would Kesler lead us to the playoffs alone? Why is Giroux and the Flyers at the bottom of the NHL? Oilers with all that young talent?

Clutch goals? Hodgsons a playmaker first.

He would be a perfect second line center, however the Sabres really dont have anyone better, so he's playing with Vanek and doing pretty good.

Whoever is saying he turns over the puck, or doesnt play defense, sorry but Kassian doesnt do anything. He is constantly out of position and lost. He should be in the AHL.

You don't really watch Kassian do you? if you are going to bitch about Kassians defense how about your boy's horrible defensive game.. oh you always conveniently forget that.

I said whoever is saying Hodgson does all that... Doesnt talk about how bad Kassian plays.

And yes I watch him play, I've seen him float around on the ice in the playoffs. He never plays hard at all. The best thing he did in the Montreal game was run into and knock David Booth over. His fight against Philly was pointless, hardly a good fighter. He is supposed to be tough, and aggressive, but you rarely ever see that from him.

He does as much as Sestito.

Yep, gotta go with pairs that work. Santorelli may be the only player on the team Booth has chemistry with.

Higgins Henrik Kesler
Daniel Schroeder Kassian
Booth Santorelli Hansen

Let's hope Kassian has a strong game to shut up some of the haters.

I like Kassian a lot but he is a notch or two below Cody in terms of hockey talent. He can still be a big part of what the Canucks are trying to do but I don't think he'll match Cody's production when its all said and done

Best news in years.

And Torts knows exactly what the lineup will be - but why tell Buffalo.
