Darkstar
Got this off hfboards. Basically, what opinions do you have that differ from the general majority of fans around the league, the media or on CDC? Here's my List: Ryan Miller is still a top five goalie in this league, he just has played on an awful team for several years now. Jonathan Toews is a good player, but he's probably the most overrated player in the league. Zetterberg is better than Datsyuk. Stamkos is not a top ten player without St.Louis Jonathan Drouin will be a bust at the NHL level. Luongo will go down as the most overrated goaltender in the history of the league, and will retire with 0 Cups, Conn Smythe's and Vezina's. It is impossible to win a Stanley Cup in this league today without a puck-moving defenseman. Pierre McGuire gets too much flack. He's one of the best analysts in hockey, even though he can go overboard at times. Suter is miles ahead of Weber in every aspect of the game, besides Weber's shot. Nikita Zadorov will end up being the best defenseman of the 2013 draft. Corsi stats are useless, and that will be proven within the next few years. People who use them are the "hipster fans" of hockey. The Oilers will win the Stanley Cup within the next 5 years. Henrik Sedin is the best centre in the west by far, and is criminally underrated defensively.

Hobble
Read through a chunk of the HF boards, and the majority are the same, just repeated, and included many of the ones you suggested. Clearly these opinions aren't 'unpopular'.
sabatoge95
Sean Avery in his prime was one of the better bottom six forwards in the league and an entertaining guy to have in the NHL.

Lychees
Man OP some of your points... I want some of what you're smoking Dubnyk isn't fit to be an NHL goalie back-up Dan Cloutier was a good goalie despite the Lidstrom goal Hodgson will be a 1C in due time. Kesler is one of the most overrated if not THE most overrated player in the league at the moment

TheRussianRocket.
- Valeri Nichuschkin will win the Calder this year (so far, his play sure did shutup his fanboys / the MG-Horvat haters ) - Crosby is the best player in the world...no it isn't Stammer or Ovie or Malkin either... People forget about Dastyuk and it's him. His overall play is far beyond where any of those players stand currently. His offensive skill and IQ >>> anyone and he's forgotten under those players. - Oilers will be the best team in a few years. No...their stupid management doesn't get you can't just insert the prospects into their lineup and expect them to carry the team without any veterans. euphoria/
sedins are not top 25 nhl players. Toronto has one of the best teams in the league. zack kassian will be no better than chris neil chris tanev will turn into a top 3 defender Matt cooke is one of the best 4th liners in the league. Sidney Crosby is not the best player in the NHL today. edit: MAF will return to being a top5 nhl goalie.

The Lock
The Blue Jackets may actually be a contender soon. They're headed in the right direction for once. Edmonton has a lot of work to do if they want to be a contender. They made a huge mistake on drafting Yakupov over Murray. I agree with a post before this that Dubnyk is not going to be Edmonton's go to goalie. They desperately need to fix this. The Schneider trade was more inevitable than people think. Luongo's a hard contract to swallow, but the contract's still not bad for us. Sure, he made 10mil in one season but only had a 5mil cap hit and that's what counts. My real unpopular prediction: Crawford will be the goalie for team Canada.

The Lock
Another one from me: You can put as much money into player development as you want. In the end, money does not buy you love.
Stark
Greatest Players of All-Time should go: 1. Lemieux 2. Gretzky 3. Orr Agreed. Lemieux > Gretzky Ovechkin is not a top 5 player in the NHL. Top 10 at best The Sharks and Hawks have the nicest jerseys in the league. I'd like to see Lucic put on a Canucks jersey someday. Say what you want about him, but he's a great power forward. Lundqvist is overrated. He's a great goalie, but people give him way too much credit. I think he'll be exposed with the smaller pads and adjusted nets this season. Brad Bellick^
I'd love to have Brad Marchand on the Canucks The Calgary Flames have a brighter future than the Oilers Martin Brodeur is not a top 5 goalie Sestito has the potential to turn in to a useful player
