[Hockeybuzz] Could the Sedin's be on the move?

Merci

You know there's a reason why Philly is struggling even with all that talent on their team.

It may be the team chemistry and guys having bad attitudes or no work ethic so it doesn't make sense for us to trade the Sedins for something that may cause a problem to the team chemistry

So far it looks like the Twins still have all their jam. They may ask for a 4 year extension -and get it. I dont know if it will be from us however.

To be clear. Regardless of the twins moving, their numbers get retired here and they go to the hall of fame.

There are 3 destinations for the twins.

#1 New Jersey

Devils have no youth, no draft pick and no more patience. They have a 27 year old Schneider in his prime and the twins give the new Devils owner a probably 2nd round appearance at least.

Cost; Larsson , Henrique and 2015 ist 2016 ist

#2 Florida

Panthers have high end talent and virtually nobody to keep their heads on straight. Thomas is good for 2 years if he can get some bearing straight. Tallon has a bunch of high end talent and no team. He has to consider coughing up to get two guys who can raise his youngsters and help Thomas and Campbell right now.

Cost: Bjustad , Kulikov 1st round pick 2015

#3 Nashville Predators

This is the team that benefits the most from a Sedin trade. They are taylor made to fit the twins in and the rest is already there. Great coaching, great defense, great goaltending. This is a no brainer but they will still be in the Western conference, albeit in the other division. Preds go from pretender to contender with the twins.

Cost ; Jones , Forsberg and 1st in 2015

Hartnell Voracek Couturier

Would do it insantly, in 2015:

Hartnell Kesler Voracek

Shinkuruk Couturier Kassian

Burrows Horvat Gaunce

Higgins Richardson Hansen

Santos L Halper

You really have no idea how good our team would be with this forwards group. And I am tempted to say if Holmgren offers this, GM is an idiot to turn it down.

Our team would instantly be a contender for 3 years straight.

God, I trust the Sedins in the playoffs this year, but Hartnell is a machine.

Eklund wasn't the guy who reported this (although he still needs to be put on the invalid list), it was Josh Rimer, who occasionally works for Sportsnet, so there's some credibility. Anyway, if the Sedins are getting traded (Florida has a better chance at winning the Cup this year than that happening) I want nothing less than

Schenn, Couturier, Simmonds, Laughton, Hartnell and a 1st

Henrik = Schenn, Simmonds, 1st

Daniel = Couturier, Hartnell, Laughton

Hartnell - Kesler - Simmonds

Burrows - Schenn - Kassian

Booth - Couturier - Hansen

Higgins - Richardson - Santorelli

Either way Gillis is done if he trades/loses the Twins.

None of those trades would make sense for us. We would be a significantly weaker team right now if we made those. We aren't rebuilding.

anyone who wouldn't want some beasts like simmonds and couturier for the sedins is a huge homer. they would instantly make the Canucks a better and younger team.

They would instantly take 100+ points out of our lineup.

Simmonds is severely overrated on here.

If we traded the Sedins for those two, we likely miss the playoffs.

I don't know why we're even entertaining this idea anyways. It's ridiculous. It would take a Gretzky like trade to move the Sedins out of Van now. They're the heart and soul of this team and will retire Canucks.
