2013-14 SEASON SERIES VS. CANUCKS (0-0-0)

10/22 - NYI vs. VAN

03/10 - NYI at VAN

The Vancouver Canucks look to snap their two-game winless streak when they make a rare visit to the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum to take on the struggling New York Islanders.

After a promising start to their seven-game road trip that began with back-to-back wins in Philadelphia and Buffalo, the Canucks have come back down to earth in their last couple of games dropping consecutive outings in Pittsburgh and, most recently, in Columbus on Sunday. The Islanders might be the perfect tonic for a Canucks team looking to snap their winless skid as they have just one win in their last five outings although the Blue Jackets were a slumping bunch as well before they knocked off Vancouver 3-1.

The Islanders have been off since suffering a 4-3 defeat at the hands of the Hurricanes on Saturday – a loss that snapped their 10-game point streak on home ice which dated back to last season. Roberto Luongo will return to the crease tonight for Vancouver after getting Sunday off while Evgeni Nabokov figures to get the call for Long Island. The Islanders will be without offensive defenceman Lubomir Visnovksy and ex-Canuck Michael Grabner tonight. Visnovsky was put on injured reserve with a concussion while Grabner was handed a two-game suspension for his high hit on Carolina's Nathan Gerbe on Saturday.

Puck drop at 4 pm PT - Live on Sportsnet Pacific, The TEAM 1040, or online at teamradio.ca.

it wasn't even embarrassing really. canucks should of won, they deserved to imo.. to bad Higgins couldn't raise that shot an inch higher at the end of the game to tie it. lack seems likes he capable of being a solid backup and welsh looked pretty good as our 4th line c

Unless the Sedins perform I just don't see a win. The lack of offense just keeps getting more and more obvious.

Another obvious thing though is, we all know if the Sedins aren't performing that Torts will juggle the lines.

When the lines are juggled, it doesn't look so bad on paper.

I absolutely love how Santorelli has been playing. He's been so great that he can slot into the 2nd line C position and I have no problem with that.

Canucks need wins. They really need these wins against the East, especially considering the toughness of our new division.

Kesler needs to stop skating in and wristing it from above the circle. It does nothing unless he's lucky.

Tomorrow or Tuesday?

EDIT: nvm saw the image up top just now

Grabner is gonna score on us. But we'll take the win as long as the Sedins have a decent game

Tomorrow or Tuesday?

If we played tomorrow that would mean we would play 3 games in 3 nights which won't happen. ;)
