Went to tally them up, these are the amount of players per country UNDER CONTRACT

Canada - 645

USA - 290

Sweden - 130

Russia - 84

Czech - 50

Finland - 46

Switzerland - 19

Slovakia - 18

Denmark - 13

Germany - 13

Latvia - 5

Austria - 4

Ukraine - 4

Kazakhstan - 3

Norway - 3

Belarus - 2

France - 2

Slovenia - 2

Brazil (lol Regehr) - 1

Lithuania - 1

Poland - 1

Brunei (lol Adams) - 1

Estonia - 1

There should be a couple extra for each country not signed

Based on STHS, 10 teams would be able to ice teams no problems (maybe a few creations)

It would be easy enough to get players to ice 12 teams however, anything past that would be out of the picture for now

Capitals Final Wave of cuts:

Jarred Tinordi

Brady Skjei

Ben Eager

Despite a strong showing from two promising defenceman, the club feels they are better with Paul Ranger on the big club, and the boys getting top minutes with the Bears.

Ben Eager impressed in his few pre-season games, but Jared Boll cemented the spot at 13th forward

Cory Conacher, Filip Forsberg, Valeri Nichushkin, and Antoine Roussel all made the Capitals opening day roster.

Announcement

As you know the pre-season has ended. Regular Season will start on Saturday Jan. 11

I will update the league file tomorrow night as well as download your updated roster and lines as I will be changing the waiver and roster rules for the start of the season. Currently waivers are off and the rosters are set at 50 players

Waivers will be turned on Saturday before the sims and the NHL rosters will be set at 23 players

Teams also need to be cap compliant prior to this date. I will be suspending a player of my choice on any team that is not cap compliant after Saturday's sims (past seasons I have been lenient on this but not any more)

You essentially have 3 nights to get your rosters and lines finished so there shouldn't be any excuses

Goodluck

Incredibly unhappy with my preseason, particularly Ryders performance while his linemates were doing very well. He get's to start the year on the bench. David Booth syndrome, only good enough to be in the bottom six right now, but not for 5 million.

No changes are expected, everybody performed up to par or better.

There could be a battle for the #2 C Spot between Bozak & Faksa.
