The Hornet Posted February 17, 2014 Share Posted February 17, 2014 The real joke with this arena is that the city put it in an already crowded downtown with no parking, and poor public transit. They say that it will 'revitalize' the area, but all it will do is create traffic nightmares, and increase crime in the area, seeing on how it's only steps away from the most crime ridden and homeless area of town. Katz and the city will get rich, so who cares right? IMO, there is nothing too much wrong with Rexall, and if they were smart, they would build the new arena grounds on the south or north side of the city for easy LRT and parking access.
