Plaguez
Considering Montreal is apparently looking for an upgrade to their forward lines and is content with their d-corps, I don't see a trade happening with them. It would not make sense for the to trade Pacioretty at all. Florida really doesn't have the asset we need either. This team is reall one top 6 winger from being a real contender. A deal may have to happen, if you consider how many players we will have when healthy: Sedin Sedin burrows Higgins Kesler Santorelli Booth Schroeder Kassian Weise Richardson Hansen Dalpe, Welsh, Sestito It's going to be crowded and I think only Welsh doesn't have to pass through waivers. GB5
corrado hasn't really done much in the pro leagues. I don't get the hype for this guy. he played a couple games up here and I really didn't see anything spectacular. especially with the great play from tanev and stanton. not very much room on the roster for any other defenders. at best I seem turning into a 6th defender like mike weaver. Wow, 30 some odd games as a pro and you come to this assessment of Corrado? The main reason he's on the farm right now is because he can be. Everyone else would have to clear waivers so there is not a roster spot for him.
coryberg
Can I ask again, what do we have not named Tanev, Hansen or prospects that Florida would want from the canucks? And what would Van want from Florida not named Bjugstad, Barkov, Grimaldi, Trochek, Howden or Petrovic (sp) for prospects or Campbell at a retained salary and or a 1st round pick this or next year that we could have without giving up something large? I don't see it. I just don't. Kick some tires but that is about it I wouldnt trade a single roster player for howden. Barring a miracle he will be an AHL 3rd liner is whole career. The Lock
lol I find all of these "scouts at such and such game" posts rather humourous. If the scouts were not watching games, wouldn't you be wondering what the scouts were doing?
theminister
and so they should be... a lot of talent has come this way out of Florida. I'd bet Tallon would be looking to move Upshall now that he's playing very well. May have taken him in the offseason as cap-dump incentive in a larger deal, but not now that he'd probably cost an asset. Still, Goc, Matthias, Boyes, Petrovic would be welcome at the right price. lol I find all of these "scouts at such and such game" posts rather humourous. If the scouts were not watching games, wouldn't you be wondering what the scouts were doing? Most importantly, what impacts the attendance of scouts is geography. They happen to be in a proximity to another city of a game or games the nights before and they cover as much ground as possible. These guys are building databases. They are just doing their due diligence. No team is ignored.

Millerdraft
If it's a MTL-VAN partnership, it'd be Booth for Bourque. That's about it and personally, I wouldn't pull that trigger unless there are locker room issues between Booth and Torts.

soshified
Edler for Subban With MTL having troubles making a deal with PK, they decided to deal him for Edler who is signed long term and still has great potential upside.

Bourque brings nothing that Booth doesn't and is signed for 2 more years at a bloated price... I wouldn't do it either. Booth has been playing much better of late too. Tragoedia
No more FLA players please. Yeah... Garrison, Higgins, and Santorelli suck. I mean Ballard didn't fit here, but not everyone will always pan out. If Boston lost would they have been happy with Kaberle's contributions? I don't think so. Actually I think this is the deal they are working on... To MTL: Edler Schroeder Booth Kassian Gaunce To VAN; Subban Galchenyuk Gallagher 1st I heard a rumour from a guy who knows an astronaut who knows MG personally and says this is the deal being fielded. If this deal isn't made MG is an idiot who should be fired, because who in their right mind would turn down this deal!

Me for Van...Subban is going to want 7mil+ and I agree Galchenyuk and Gallagher are big upgrades but even with the cap expected to jump I would rather pass on having tons of expensive contracts and especially on defence where we have rich depth
Bissurnette
Actually if you paid any attention at all to the reports regarding Pacioretty you would have seen that Montreal isn NOT shopping him at all. Onl;y that other teams are inquiring about him. Of course other teams are asking about him. Hes a big talented scoring forward locked up on a very affordable contract. All the reasons Montreal is not interested in moving him. Add to that the fact that Montreal's defence has been one of the best in the league this season and their offence has struggled at times and moving Pacioretty makes zero sense at all. I wish people would take the time to look at the other teams needs before they start suggesting trades that make no sense. The reason people are inquiring about him is because Bergevin maybe gave a hint or sign that he might entertain the idea of trading him. There are lots of players that are dominant but we don't hear their names on TSN or whatever... take Kesler for example, no GM is inquiring about him because Gillis let it be known that he's not trading him. Teams know that this door is shut so they don't even bother. But as long as the reports say that teams are inquiring about him it means Bergevin at one point or another thought about it for a second. Langdon Algur
We aren't the only team there... This is probably a result of FLA putting up the "For Sale" sign to everyone in the league. This^ They are likely there to watch one player not to see who we want back for a particular Canucks player.

What about Fleischman, the guy is a producer, a PP contributer, could be that 2nd liner or even 3rd liner to play between Kass & Booth, that addition would have our team offense balanced and pretty damn dangerous, Flash could anchor the 2nd unit I know people keep saying no more trades with Florida, but Flash is a key contributer and he produces
