Guess they were waiting to see if it would heal on its own. Very cool that Sutter believed in him and wanted to give him as much of an oppourtunity as possible to make team Canada. It'd certainly confirm what we've been thinking that Shinkaruk is still dealing with the hip injury and will take time to get it taken care of now that he's not at the WJHC. Jensen wasn't the same after his concussion. Let there be no mistake, this Shinkaruk season-ender will be a HUGE snag in his development, if not his overall career.
