I thought it was a bad idea to keep him with the Kzoo, but if he's increasing his speed because of the extra space he gets I'm all for it.

Mr Itchy Trigger Finger. If this kid pans out, we'll have a few who love to snipe first, & ask questions later.

Would love to see another Burrows-type, long-shot story on the club.

Maybe it's how it takes for an ordinary prospect to develop 4 years in the EC + AHL

Could be, but the drafted kids get to the front of the line, for first dibs. Guessing lots of these set-aside 'kids' just give up, frustrated with this meandering path.

In the end, if he fulfills that jr's sniper-potential, it could be miraculously found, shiny gold coins.

Should that bring out the grit and bite in them, to always keep fighting till the end putting all energy till the last game of the season.

Essentially what life boils down to, isn't it? Dealing with the hand that's dealt.

at some point during the year Fox should get a chance in Utica? Especially if we send anyone to WJC and bring up someone they would have a need for him? Be nice to see him get a shot but he has to prove coach Green that he deserves the playing time.

He's the leading scorer (7+11) on what looks like a poor team. The coach is a gut named Nick Bootland sure don't seem to show much

Quote

Fox was the fastest Kzoo skater over the weekend.

Fairly remarkable, considering how fast a skater Blomstrand is.

Fox stats update:

11G 16A 27points in 30 games

- leads team in goals and assists (already more assists than last season)
- leads team in SOG
- leads team in PIM

not suprising as he was always a point getter and if he didn't have that questionable history in the OHL he would have been drafted in 2012 as he was rated top 50. but was not drafted because of the off ice stuff

This quote is suprising...skating was his only real issue...Fox should be called up to Utica soon....

"Fox was the fastest Kzoo skater over the weekend. I also noticed Fox’s slick stick handling (mostly evident Saturday night). With his increased speed Fox was easily weaving in and out of Elmira players."

One thing to consider though; is that the type of game Green wants him to play?

Maybe he makes the Comets next season and gets a call up or two? That's just a guess though.

Well, if we want to guess, it is just as possible the Canucks don't sign him this summer when his contract expires.  Signed at 20, now 22 with over a season and a half as a pro spent entirely in the ECHL except for one game in Utica, there's plenty of reason for doubt about whether he's in the Canucks' future plans.

The Comets got shorthanded both on forward and defence this season and rather than promote Fox they left him in Kalamazoo and signed several ECHL players to professional tryout contracts.

I haven't seen him play with the Wings and am only speculating based on the where the Canucks have assigned him.
