Xbox
That explains why I couldn't get on NFS Thanks for the info. I was seriously rattled and confused why my NFS Rivals wouldn't connect. That's a huge blow to EA. So many games on so many platforms, online out.
goalie13
The article says it's a denial of service attack. Not hacked.

canucksince85
http://www.vg247.com/2014/01/03/ea-origin-servers-down-hacker-group-claims-responsibility/ Sorry should have posted this link or perhaps both -- maybe they weren't hacked but hackers are claiming responsibility.. Either way the servers are down and this is why. Carry on.
canucksince85
On another note - I just got on Fifa after playing offline for about an hour.
Hodgson!!
Can't believe people spend so much time/money on gathering up tons of servers just to DDOS someone and keep them down for a half a day.

Caboose
That explains why I couldn't get on NFS Thanks for the info. I was seriously rattled and confused why my NFS Rivals wouldn't connect. That's a huge blow to EA. So many games on so many platforms, online out. I tried playing the new Need for Speed, the game was locked to 30 frames per second. Basically unplayable at this point. The DDOS attackers did you a favour.
Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
DDOS attacking everything today? EA, maybe Steam, maybe Battle.net...
Xbox
I tried playing the new Need for Speed, the game was locked to 30 frames per second. Basically unplayable at this point. The DDOS attackers did you a favour. The game is not unplayable. Single player still worked just fine. As far as the 30fps goes, I honestly couldn't care less about that. It still performs just fine. :D
If any of you want to hack EA and deposit more donuts into my Tapped Out account, that would really teach them a lesson.
