Chauncey
Two issues. The first problem: I've said it before and i'll say it again - the Canucks got to score more goals. If they can start scoring more goals they will win more games. It would be much easier for them if they just scored more goals. The second problem is the lack of an efficient third line right wing. eagleeyedak
I wish Archibald has that kind of foot speed (or does he?). I prefer a young hungry player with something to prove than an old and cap unfriendly one. Seemed like Torts was giving him Archie the time to show he belonged, during his recent spell. Chimera is signed through 2016 at 1.75 cap hit. Not impossible, but yes he is 34, and perhaps in the long run bringing someone in like him just becomes another hole plugged where one of the young kids can't find space in the lineup? Grapefruits
Next time people want to blame Luongo for a weak goal, remember this game and remember he made 49 saves while the offense failed yet again. Thanks coach
Chauncey
Our PP could have easily been the difference tonight. 1 for 4 just didn't cut it tonight. We should have been up 2-0 early when they gave us the PP's. That's a bad post and you should feel bad. This place is turning to crap.
DIBdaQUIB
outclassed by a better team. face it, unless we get a true sniper for the Sedins, they will be a liability come playoffs. They are a liability. Tonight was just a reminder of how they have looked against contenders and in the playoffs for the past 3 years. For MG to talk about getting bigger, faster and younger and then signing them to 4 at $7M each is an oxymoron. LA pushed them around mercilessly tonight and the result was the same as it has been since 2011. Until the core of this team is changed, it is going nowhere. Brick Tamland
The better team won tonight, plain and simple. We need our A game and they need their B game for us to beat them.

If you hurt them than they won't be able to play their A game, plain and simple.
rightasrain
lol, CBC will never be Canadian. They are not for Canada, so do not support them. Love that Rogers has taken them out. Write a letter to let Rogers know how you feel. They all can, and should, be fired next year. What a great year that will be, no ron mclean, don cherry, healy, pj, frack all those cunts. Fire them all.

SergioMomesso
We are still missing 3 important pieces that would have helped this game. Any updates on Edler, Burrows or Stanton?

He sure didn't hold back when Burrows had his Auguer incident a few years back.
Darius
A few points: -This has to be one of the softest Defences to play against. Bieksa aside this is what we have: Tanev, Hamhuis, Garrison, Weber, Corrado - no wonder they are running Lu all night. All those guys have strengths but intimidation is not one of them. -That goon Sutter has figured out the Sedins - its easy...just do what Boston did. Play them tough and break the cycle on the boards and you pretty much neutralize them. It would be nice to see them score off of the rush. -Other than Sestito and Bieksa there was very little physical push back. Its a shame guys like Wiese, Kassian, Booth, Kesler dont punish their D. - Its frustrating to watch Kassian - he has the speed and the size to hit, but he doesnt. The guy is trying to be a playmaker and not a power forward....maybe thats what he is destined for....problem is Gillis thought he was getting a power forward when he traded hodgson. -The league is heading towards low skill goon hockey. Assemble the biggest and heaviest guys you can, put a 5 man box around the net, dump and try and kill the opposition on the boards. Have a couple of snipers and tada - you have a cup contender. The current canuck roster cannot counter this in a 7 game series. In 2011 they had the skill akin to Chicago and could out skill the opposition (until Boston ran them through the rink and they were all playing injured). The Edmonton oilers are polar opposite of what type of team is a contender today - all skill and all soft....
DIBdaQUIB
Any dirty 3rd liners we can trade for or sign for cheap? don't we have enough already? I mean, our 2nd and third lines plus whoever is put with the twins are all of that category on a contender.
Moonshinefe
To be fair they had Hrudey as their colour commentator... kind of an LA fan I'd imagine. Anyway, it was a disappointing loss but this is a Stanley Cup winning team coming off a 5 game losing streak, I expected them to be more motivated than the Canucks and it showed. Luongo, Tanev and Kesler all had great games. Other than that, we got out worked by an admittedly more determined Kings team. I hope Burrows comes back soon, since the Sedins seem invisible out there these days, and when they do score, it's often not at key times. We can't be carried by our 2nd line the entire year and expect a good seed in this conference! But again, very strong performance by Roberto in his return from injury, one of the few positives. And it looks like Kesler is gearing up for Sochi
Bissurnette
This needs to happen early and often, not in the 3rd when we are down. There's NOBODY other than Sestito to do it. He's doing absolutely everything he can and working as hard as he can to line up big hits but he only gets 6 mins a night. Kassian has no more excuses left. He needs to show up. This was an emotional game that we needed his physicality in and he was no where to be found. There was a time towards the end of the 3rd period where he had Brown (FRICKING BROWN!!) lined up for a hit on the boards near our blue line and he passed on it. Disappointed beyond words in this kid. Please no more excuses.
