Only a real nutbar would look to eliminate the number one source of income for the US just as it's income to expenditures is at an near all time bad level.

Why not just vote the US out of existence? It would be faster.....

P.S. Guys with nukes are always going to get their money, no matter how hard you try to hide it.

Stealing the income of it's tax-slaves, err...citizens/resident aliens, is the only source of income for the Us government!

And no need to hide if one stops being a US tax-slave, err...citizen/resident alien!

Collecting income taxes is the primary source of income for most governments.

We can go back to just collecting income from sales and the other taxes around like pre WW1, but we would have to go back to a pre WW1 social safety net, which was basically relying on charity, which isn't much to rely on. Good luck convincing the majority of the population to do that, in pretty much every nation the call is for more services.

You can try to force that on the system by subverting it but that will never work. Either the government will go Orwellian on you if it needs to in order to get the money like the states, or it will go the Greek model, and the world will shun you financially and you can look at the prospect of kissing "first world country" status goodbye.

Not sure what country you plan on living in that won't be taxing you on your income. If you find it let me know.

This basically sums up the basic mentality of most bit coin zealots out there. It's like a 8 year old kid who thinks life would be wonderful if they dont have parents to take care of them.

Ron probably covers how ridiculous that thought so i am not going bother.

Are you serious? Really?

Just because you want to be a perpetual child and have a nanny-police-welfare state to look after, protect, and take of you doesn't give you the right or privilege to ask the state to force me to finance a part of it!

But you are correct about the basic mentality of most bitcoin zealots in wanting to be independent, responsible, sovereign adults!

Notice how the growth of the government's role in the economy in the West can be traced back to WW1?

Notice how the ascent of democracy to became the most popular form of government in the West can be traced back to the aftermath of WW1?

Notice how well-nigh every democracy in the world ended up voting in either communism/socialism, or fascism/corporatism, or mixing both wings up together and calling it a 'mixed economy'? And if any of those collectivist ideas fail, blame it on those greedy, free-market capitalists!

So nowadays in the West, the State utilize its available coercive powers to supports those who are well-connected and offers enough value to the State, via laws and regulations to destroy the free market and allowing corporate monopolies/oligopolies to prosper (fascism/corporatism). But wave the flag and the weak will vote this into legitimacy for "the good of the country".

Meanwhile, on Main St., the weak band together to prey upon the remaining politically un-connected and un-protected strong via voting (communism/socialism) and as a result, the weak live on to breed more weaklings at the marginalized strong's expense.

Western civilization is rotting from within because of this.

You can try to force that on the system by subverting it but that will never work.

You can subvert the system by using it against itself by diversifying yourself and your assets geo-politically. But it'll require you to be willing to think outside-the-box that you've been brought-up, trained, and conditioned to think in...

Either the government will go Orwellian on you if it needs to in order to get the money like the states, or it will go the Greek model, and the world will shun you financially and you can look at the prospect of kissing "first world country" status goodbye.

With the amount of financial rules and regulations one has to follow and the baby-steps implementation of capital controls in the West, I'm surprised you haven't noticed!

And the West has been living so beyond it's mean for over 30-40 years that it's only a matter of time before developed countries become "submerging" countries like Greece and the rest of the PIGS.

Not sure what country you plan on living in that won't be taxing you on your income. If you find it let me know.

When you are properly diversified geo-politically, it doesn't matter where you live...

Because acts of government aren't ridiculous...

how nice of you to actually quote me with this kind of senseless pictures i

The reason you actually have access to internet, a job, health care, a home, or food to eat is because of the government that you despise so much setting up the society. If you have a problem with that you can totally go live in a jungle where no government will rule over you.

No? then stop yapping about how bad our government is and how bitcoin can overthrow our current system and let you live in a tax free country

Somalia has no functioning government. Go build your Bitcoin utopia there.

Yeah didn't think so.

If and when rich people/corporations get on board, then I can see the Bitcoin actually being viable. Until then, it will just be another fad. The system requires trust. There are lots of people with lots of money who aren't willing to trust another system to handle their income/savings. People like and trust the banks even if the banks are crooked as a snake. It will take years for Bitcoins to establish legitimacy and acceptance by the masses...by then, the shine may wear off. Just because it's a good idea, does not mean it will be accepted; especially when it is up against the forces it is.
