Everybody Hates Raymond
http://www.ebgames.ca/browse?nav=2b12,28-xu0,1317 https://twitter.com/GameDealsCanada/status/425373007872524288 MSRP is going up by $5. $64.99 is the base price for games now. RIDICULOUS! UPDATE: Seems like EB isn't satisfied with $64.99 and is now raising prices to $69.99 http://www.ebgames.ca/playstation-4/games/destiny-with-bonus/316933 http://www.ebgames.ca/playstation-4/games/watch-dogs-with-exclusive-bonus/316916 http://www.ebgames.ca/playstation-4/games/dying-light/317657 http://www.ebgames.ca/playstation-4/games/mad-max/317007 http://www.ebgames.ca/playstation-4/games/wolfenstein-the-new-order/317025 http://www.ebgames.ca/playstation-4/games/middle-earth-shadow-of-mordor/318142 http://www.ebgames.ca/playstation-4/games/the-crew/316912 That's not even all of them... Brendan Gaunce
They can do it, people will still buy them.
Everybody Hates Raymond
They can do it, people will still buy them. All it does in my eyes is help support piracy. $60 was already insane for 5 hour games...
JE14
They know Canadian fans will go no matter what and still watch more than americans after 20 something years without CAnada having a cup Please read the thread.....

Everybody Hates Raymond
Looks like digital downloading will be the way to go Lol, nope. Publishers will raise their digital titles to $64.99 too, just watch.
PlayStation
Looks like digital downloading will be the way to go They will probably be the same price, if not then EB Games is dead within 5 years. I hope somebody like Amazon keeps it at $60 and kills off these other retailers who are raising it to $65, not sure if they had the choice to raise it or not. Edit: From what I have read it is "because of the weak Canadian dollar"
crime911
I have question. does this mean ps4 games price will increase too?
sedated
Digital has been the way to go for awhile now. They haven't raised the price for that and it's been the same for awhile. Digital only sucks if you plan to sell the game (But if you don't sell it within like a week you get robbed anyway), or if something happens to your system somehow. But it's not like you'd be able to play if your system in question messed up anyway. Doesn't surprise me at all they're trying to slam more taxes on games. The gaming market in general is the most lucrative and poor economy resisting market out there currently more or less.

burrkeshanlon
Funny thing is $65 is pretty damn good. I pay between $89-$100 for a new game in Australia, now that's ridiculous.
Rick Grimes
I'll be fine.
Everybody Hates Raymond
Funny thing is $65 is pretty damn good. I pay between $89-$100 for a new game in Australia, now that's ridiculous. Your adult minimum wage is $16.88. Just under 6 hours to buy a $99.99 game... Minimum wage in B.C. is $10.25, which is just over 7 hours to buy a $72.79 game after taxes. Just because your numbers look bigger doesn't mean they really are.
Lil B From The Pack
I buy my games from Wal Mart anyways. If they don't bump up their prices ( likely will), I'll be fine.
g_bassi13
Digital prices will go up for Online Canadian stores all the same. They're not going to keep a disparity between the two. If the US follows suit, it's pretty much guaranteed the prices on all markets, retail or digital, will be at $65.
PlayStation
Thought this was about attending sports games... does this mean steam prices go up as well? Not sure about steam, however EB Games is upping the price of PC games as well.
