So, anything interesting going on in here?

Hmm, someone screaming insults and therefore thinks they are winning the discussion.

Looks like oldnews and dragon have this well in hand. Time to see what's on TV.

And again you miss a past comment about making a move in the OFFSEASON but that's ok your clearly right all Tort's and Sully's fault Hamhuis is fatigued not using Edler in matchups and clearly not playing him 22+min a game he should go and make Hamhuis play 40min

What... you've heard of Tanev right... there is more than just Hamhuis on this team...but you want to keep sending him out there. Weird. And hows that PP looking... naw... we couldn't use someone new.

Really showing idiocy now

Hamhuis is this teams no1 defenseman meaning he plays the most...When injuries happen(Edler,Stanton,Tanev,Bieksa) He plays more to pickup the min...Garrison, Edler, Stanton, Weber, Corrado will not play nearly as much as Hamhuis but will all see a min increase so right now trading away Edler is retarded because means that's another 22min gap ontop of Tanev's and Bieksa's

There that's more logic then iv seen outta you yet tonight

The point is, we can't move Edler now due to injures. If we move Edler now, we better get a D back.

Right now, Edler and Hamhuis are our "best D". It doesn't mean we play them 40 min, but we play them the majority of the game compared to others.

When Hamhuis was playing in December, he did terrible, even when the team was doing well.

You don't trade an Edler for a prospect and pick mid season hunting for a playoff spot. That's stupid.

The best time to trade Edler is in the offseason, or, when we don't have injuries.

you are the one showing idiocy... stating the obvious :picard:
I know there is no chance you could think of any other solution. You must be a Gillis follower... I do nothing till the off season... I need time to 'see' the process.

Sorry I disagree... the best time to trade someone is when their value is at it's highest. If teams are willing to overpay... you capitalize on it.. but Gillis won't do a damn thing... so don't worry. Edler isn't exactly an a picture of health either, back issues,... so over playing him is just asking to get him injured again. Then bye bye summer trade option. YEAH... That sounds like a Gillis move.

Trade Edler... he's got lots of value...get younger..get a prospect...get offensive help...get a d man salary dump that will be a ufa at the end of the season...lot of options. You must have seen the Edler to Detroit proposal... lots of suggestions there... Anyhow Gillis probably will do nothing as usual.. but we will be healthier after the Olympic break

It won't be as high. And non existent if he injures his back with being overplayed as you suggest he will be.

Exactly...we dictate the terms. We want over-payment. I just don't believe Gillis has it in him to do anything with that leverage. :(

yes those nice players we got for Luongo are doing very well for us o wait he dident get moved because nobody offered a good deal and instead got 9th overall in a deep draft for Schneider and picked Horvat...Who also helped us get under the dropping cap so that tells me he has no problem waiting for the right deal

Horvat wasn't the right deal by a long shot... it was the only deal... Schneider was robbed from us. That's why Gillis is too scared to make any moves now... he's been Burnt too many times. Gillis doesn't understand leverage at all.

And you don't understand the goalie market...its very different then defence/forwards

For instance Miller, Neuvirth, Fasth, Ward, Peters to name a few all on the block...Why pay this big expensive price for an elite goalie when can get a pretty good one cheap se Toronto with Bernier or Tampa with Bishop

Should have trade traded Luongo for a bag of pucks and used the cap savings to sign Iginla. Can only hope Horvat lives up to his hype... I hope so.

Why? Because him and Lack have been our most consistent players...Majority of the games lost been 1 or 2 goal games its not their fault the team infront in not scoring goals...and Iginla wanted to stay east out of respect for Calgary and they have done for him and vice versa...Hate to tell you but not every player wants to play in Vancouver We could of afforded his contract he chose Boston

It's nothing against Luongo.... it's out of respect for him... he wanted to go to Florida...expected to go to Florida. We could have used the cap savings to buy a UFA Sniper which we desperately need.
