Dragonfruits
now that you just told me that i hope he doesn't turn out like roy, pahlson or gragani big difference with those trades and this one Gillis only gave up Weise a dime a dozen career 4th liner for a D-man averaging 18-19 minutes a game
Alexander.Edler
Dale Weise's one bonehead penalty a game will not be missed. Weise is easily replaceable but will miss his personality. This trade has upside for us, dont get why people are complaining. Feel like theres more to come with Gillis, too many D men now, its either dump Alberts or BIG trade involving a D man

aGENT
Don't really care who posted it, I just don't see this as a breaking trade. But whatever this is nothing to argue about haha. The news just broke and it's a trade. Why are you even....
Steve Carell
He has 11 assists this year, playing about 10 less games than the Canucks d-men; which I guess would be just on par with what people like Hamhuis have been producing. This is while averaging 16-17 minutes a night, where guys like Hamhuis often go 25+ (see: game against Winnipeg).
Dragonfruits
We get a d because of injuries or an upcomming D trade? Please Gillis do Not tanev i would say injuries at this point missing Tanev and Bieksa Gillis needed better depth on the back end
Legend Killer
diaz loves to block shots.. decent puck mover. i like it.
thaji
Weise had no brain. Even in the games he scored, he'd frack up on the same shift in his own zone. Thank ???? god. Peace out weise Thank you someone with actual knowledge of how Weiss played....he did have some offensive ability for a 4th line guy but man he made some horrible plays in the D Zone....see Chicago game for most recent...the guys can't get the puck out along the wall in the D zone if his life depended upon it. jejejester
I'll give credit to MG on this one. We had too many 4th liners, Lain has really stepped up, and with archibald in the minors. Diaz can play Around 15 minutes a game and is RHD. Not bad at moving the puck either. Can't make our PP any worse
BenDrinkin
As much as I said we shouldn't trade for rentals, this is decent. Trading redundant parts instead of drafts picks works for me.
Frazzy Desjardins
What's with the sarcastic bold moves comments. For all u know this could be the first of many. And I like this deal anyway. Patience!!!
Sugar baby watermelon
Bettrr option on the PP than hammer or dare I say it, Garrison, could spark the Sedins up
Rypien37
Great....some decent grit for an extremely soft defender. We have Weber...who already played for Montreal, similar numbers, same size AND from Switzerland as well.
missioncanucksfan
Haydn Fluery is gonna be a great pick come June
TheFastOne21
If Edler is going to be moved then our D stacks like this I assume: Hammer - Tanev/Juice Garrison - Juice/Tanev Stanton - Diaz Weber That is still a solid D corps. I just hope if Edler is moved that we get something tangible in return that will help us for more than this season. I like the trade. We, in the words of other teams, are a tough team to play against now. Losing a "gritty" 4th liner for offense when we are starved for offense is a great move. Well done Gillis, hopefully more to come.
King Heffy
Hopefully Gillis manages to get something useful for Edler now, such as ROR. Sedin-Sedin-Kassian ROR-Kesler-Burr Higgins-Schroeder-Hansen Sestito-Richardson-Archiballd Hamhuis-Bieksa Garrison-Tanev Stanton-Diaz Not bad on paper. Maz
Dang a sad day to see the departure of Dale Weise. At the only Canucks game i've ever been to, i was down at ice level in the pre game trying to get the players' attention. Dale was the only one who looked and even gave me a wink. Plus i'm a guy. Takes a lot of heart and true man to do that. What he brought on the ice maybe wasn't as cool as the way he rapped the words to every song in warmup, but he will be missed in one facet or another. Farewell Dale

TOMapleLaughs
We desperately needed another d-man to let pucks hit him until Bieksa and Tanev get back.
