Alex the Great
Official 2014 NHL Entry Draft Discussion Thread The 2014 NHL Entry Draft will be the 52nd NHL Entry Draft. The draft will be held on June 27–28, 2014 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I'll start off by saying I really enjoyed making last years thread with all the information attached to it and I figured with our recent slump, it gives us something else to talk about for the time being. Derp...
Thanks for doing this again Looking forward to seeing the Canucks add some more talented youth! On another note. Anaheim has two 1st and 2nd round picks this year, and that's kinda scary.

Coconuts
The Oilers are missing a 2nd, a 3rd, and a 4th.. good to see they won't be able to take advantage of those picks despite the fact they'll be high picks in all those rounds.
Tre Mac
And with the umpteenth pick in the 2014 NHL entry draft, the Vancouver Canucks are proud to select...

Warhippy
Yeah that's not suspicious at all You noticed that to eh? In the 1st round I want Virtanen if possible. 2nd round Mattsson, Collins or Vanier 3rd round Vanier or Mantha The rest is a crap shoot and since we don't have a 4th...not terribly worried

Keslerific
Just curious if anyone knows how the forfeited pick works? Lets say NJ wins the lottery and gets 1st overall and get's skipped so does that mean nobody gets drafted 1st overall and the 2nd pick overall (although first) will forever be known as being drafted 2nd overall in the 2014 NHL draft? Canuck or Die
Why would their pick even be used if it is forfeit? I'd imagine they just do the draft the same way, minus New Jersey. Meaning they have no way of getting 1st overall. Meaning they have no way of getting 1st overall. Actually I just looked it up and the last time a pick got forfeited the number still counted and the guy drafted after, although the 69th player taken in the draft, counted as being drafted 70th overall.
