Guest Cuporbust2
Probably read already by most, I still thought some might like to discuss Kelser a strong play in Sochi. Granted he is playing with some of the best wingers in the game, it's still great to see him playing well. Here is what I read RYAN KESLER: As Team USA’s first-line centre, Kesler has had top wingers on his flanks throughout the tournament and is expected to skate with Patrick Kane and Zach Parise in Wednesday’s quarter-final against the Czechs. He has collected a goal and an assist, has five shots on goal and is plus-4. http://www.canada.com/olympics/news/ryan-kesler-the-most-magnificent-of-seven-canucks-at-sochi-winter-games

Bure010
not surprising since Hank didn't go, Daniel was in a major slump going into them, and Hamhuis and Luongo have barely played

TheRussianRocket.
He's always been a star player but blind cdcers and 'Canucks fans' don't see that and it's a shame. No he's not a superstar but he is a star. People are always crapping on him for not producing at what he should be but look at the linemates he plays with and has played with. Higgy and Booth, not top 6 material and Kesler can't play at his top potential with them. Kesler is a player who can't make others around him better but if he has the star power alongside him (not asking for a Crosby, just a bare minimum solid top 6er), he is a lethal threat and the Olympics say otherwise. What happened when he had bare minimum top 6ers in Samuelsson and Sundin alongside him? He had career years and the most productive years. Those two were 'washed up' top 6ers you can say and he still put up star numbers with them. No surprise once they left and he had Higgins and Booth - not solid top 6ers - his production started to drop. ...open your eyes people, Kesler is a star. If MG has the balls to make a deal or sign a legitimate top 6 winger for Kes, this team will be a threat once again. Kesler's value is really underrated and if he were to be traded which won't happen at least this year, contenders would be lining up to get him with their cheque books and rosters open cause they know what Kes can do once given proper linemates. /end rant. oldnews
The available statistics are pretty crapty actually, but I'd guess that Ronalds Kenins is among the tournament leaders in hits...

Tangerines
To Detroit: Kesler To Van: Mantha Nyquist 1st rounder (2014) Do it MG. Just do it. We're not going anywhere with this current line up. We lose Kesler, we tank this year, and get a higher pick in the draft (Virtanen please God). We also get Detroits 1st (Ehlers or Tuch). Kesler's my favorite player on this team, but I love the team more than Kesler, and we need to get younger. Tear it down a little and build it up even stronger. Kesler's value is at its highest point now with the Olympics and all too. MG should take advantage of this oppourtunity, but we all know he's just going to sit on his hands and do nothing. Its a process.

DIBdaQUIB
Playing top line minutes playing with Patrick Kane and Zach Parise and has managed a whole 5 shots in 4 games, 1 goal and 1 assist with 2 of those games being against considerably weaker teams. I could strap skates on my cat and he could get that production playing on the American's top line with those guys. Nothing overly impressive about those numbers.
