-Vintage Canuck-
According to Darren Dreger: In terms of Myers, there is considerable interest according to sources close to the Buffalo Sabres. But GM Tim Murray isn't trying to push this guy out the door. Is he available? Is he interested in moving him? Yes he is. We're looking at Toronto as potentially a fit, as would be the Anaheim Ducks. And the Colorado Avalanche are definitely looking for a defenceman. So there will be options, but come ready to pay a premium. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=444838

ForsbergTheGreat
Could see the Oil' jumping in on this. Something along the lines of yak for myers as the main pieces
P.Joneson
I still think Tyler Myers has a bright future future in this league. Zdeno Chara's first good season came when he was 26 and Myers only just turned 24. No way in hell the Canucks do a deal to get him though.
avelanch
Could see the Oil' jumping in on this. Something along the lines of yak for myers as the main pieces oilers are desperate for d-men, and they have a plethora of young assets to deal (and they have valuable low picks as well) so i could see them making an attempt. P.Joneson
Could see the Oil' jumping in on this. Something along the lines of yak for myers as the main pieces 100% Agree. For Tyler's benefit hopefully that doesn't happen though... haha. He needs to go to a team where there is some veteren leadership. The report says Toronto, Colorado or Anaheim, I highly doubt Buffalo trades him to Toronto. We would probably be traded out West if at all. theminister
Or the Oilers could go for an older guy who plays solid D to settle the young guys down. Someone like Smid for a couple of B grade prospects could work. Wait…. / But, yeah, Myers could be a nice addition for them.
elvis15
From the sounds of it, Murray is listening for pretty much anybody at this point. Ehrhoff was mentioned as well but he'll be impacted by the cap recapture penalties that partly prevented a Luongo trade last year.
D-Money
Could see the Oil' jumping in on this. Something along the lines of yak for myers as the main pieces Would be a good move for both teams. Buffalo should make that move, then bring Grigorenko back and give them time to gel for next season. theminister
I thought he had a crazy contract. He has an annual cap hit of $5.5 for the next 5 years. BUT… considering the will have to pay Yakupov that, and they've spent their forward money on Eberle, RNH and Hall already, it makes sense to parlay that into a young d-man. I think it's unlikely they trade him but the deal could work in principle. Having another top Russian on the team might help create chemistry with Grigorenko too who is stagnating. Bombastik der Teutone
Miller, Myers, Ehrhoff , Ott, Tallinder , .....who´s next??? Seems they want to trade everyone
theminister
Myers? 5.5 mill through 2018-19 And they've paid the bulk of the cash alreadly. It's actually only $20.5 million in real dollars over the last 5 years. That could work for Edmonton.
theminister
Miller, Myers, Ehrhoff , Ott, Tallinder , .....who´s next??? Seems they want to trade everyone Well… they have help on D coming: Pysyk Ristolainen Zadorov McNabb MacCabe Have good young forwards to build around: Hodgson Girgensons Grigorenko Compher Larsson Hurley Bailey If they can add a top goalie prospect, like Subban or Gibson, and can grab a couple of top picks again this year, in addition to their own probable 1st overall, then they are in a great position. Myers is probably the last guy they need to trade but will if they get the right piece for the future. Their rebuild is being done correctly. They will jump past Edmonton very soon. JeremyCuddles
Why? They're rebuiliding and he is only 24. At the very least he helps them hit the cap floor when the lose Miller. Based off his comments yesterday I think, he wants out. Are they giving up on him already?
