Already facing charges of drugging and raping two women in Los Angeles, to which he has pleaded not guilty, former NFL safety Darren Sharper faces two counts of aggravated rape in New Orleans, according to a New Orleans Police press release issued Thursday.

The release states that investigators from both the New Orleans Sex Crimes unit and the Orleans Parish district attorney’s office obtained arrest warrants for Sharper, 38, and 26-year-old Erik Nunez, “for the alleged aggravated rapes of two women in New Orleans last September.” Nunez also faces two counts of aggravated rape.

“Last week, investigators learned that not one, but two women were allegedly sexually assaulted by Sharper in the same apartment the night of September 23rd (2013),” the NOPD press release reads. “New information uncovered also indicates that Nunez also allegedly raped both women that night at the same location.”

Sharper made arrangements to voluntarily surrender on the New Orleans warrant at his L.A. lawyer's office Thursday evening and did so without incident.

If convicted in the New Orleans case, Sharper and Nunez would face life behind bars without the possibility of parole, according to Louisiana law. The NOPD release also states that the investigation is ongoing and “additional arrests are possible.”

If convicted in the New Orleans case, Darren Sharper would face life behind bars without the possibility of parole.

Sharper appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court last week and pleaded not guilty through his attorney to seven felony counts, including two counts of rape by use of drugs. In the L.A. case, Sharper allegedly met two women at an L.A. nightclub on Oct. 30, 2013, invited them back to his hotel room, allegedly drugged both and raped one of the women.

Last month, he allegedly carried out a similar pattern of behavior — meeting two different women at the same L.A. nightclub, allegedly drugging both in his hotel room and allegedly raping one of them. If convicted in that case, Sharper faces more than 30 years in state prison. The L.A. County DA’s office said in its press release that a complaint alleges Sharper used the drug zolpidem — known by its brand name, Ambien, a prescription sleeping aid — to drug his alleged female victims.

An L.A. prosecutor labeled Sharper a “danger to women in our community” and argued for a $10 million bail during his arraignment, but Judge Renee Korn set the bail at $1 million — which Sharper posted — and outlined a number of conditions for his release, including that he must remain in Los Angeles County.

Sharper’s attorneys filed a motion in L.A. court opposing the bail conditions and calling their client “the product of a loving, stable family” and “a loving father to his two children.”

Sharper is also under investigation in Las Vegas, Tempe, Ariz., and Miami Beach for similar alleged criminal behavior. A Tempe police spokesman told the Daily News that charges against the former Saint, Viking and Packer safety are “coming soon.” Sharper allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted two women in Arizona in November, according to a 42-page Tempe PD report.

For those of you to lazy to press the link.

And good god... How the mighty have fallen, I remember when he was the most dominant FS in the game, QB's would just check up underneath because they didn't want to take him on by throwing it deep. Cest la vie.

...I'm sure he'd have no problem getting them in the sack so I suspect this just a game to him...drugging women and raping them

if not, then he should have enrolled in sex addiction rehab  ...

good looks, money, and a dick for brains!!

I don't get it... He'd rather have the girl drugged and lifeless instead of her being a winning participant. Where's the fun in that?

Fetish maybe? Or maybe he is into some sick things that no woman would ever let him do to her. Or maybe he just likes the thrill of breaking the law. My guess anyway.

Dudes a top level scum bag. When you consider that most women dont report rapes like this the numbers might be staggering. Tho even one is one too many.

The New Orleans charges, if convicted, are life without possibility of parole. So at his age that should be good for a solid 40+ years. Hope it was worth it. At least he wont have to worry about what will happen when he runs out of money now.
