26 posts in this topic

curious as to what year you guys think the canucks did best in

most will probably say in recent memory just last year due to subban, cassels, shinkaruk, horvat. right now it looks promising but what do you think about 2011?

Nik Jensen, Corrado, Tommernes

2004

Schneider, Edler, Hansen

what do you guys think the best year was

So are you saying 2000-2009?

Or 2000 to present?

2000-2009 it's the 2004 draft.

If it's 2000-present, I would go with last years.

2004 helped make 2013 possible so it has to be 2004 no?

By potential I'd say 2013. 2004 for results.

I would not count the 2010 to 2013 drafts. We just dont know how our picks will pan out yet.

From 2000 to 2009 , I would argue 2004 was a pretty good draft for us.

It's 2004. However, Nonis drafted Schneider when he already had Luongo. Instead he should have drafted...

Survey says...

Dave Bolland.

I agree with this. Though it's hard to know for sure, odds are that the 2013 draft will be known as a great one for years.

Um... we didn't have Luongo when we drafted Schneider

Easily '04.

Only draft that's produced results

Based on potential success I'd have to go with 2013.

Horvat

Shinkaruk

Cassels

Subban

How can you say that when it's too early to tell with the 2013 draft.

2007. Selecting Patrick White eventually nabbed us Ehrhoff, which helped us to a SCF. Plus, any time you make such an appalling and frankly laughable 1st round selection and turn it around to your advantage, you have to pat your own back. That was a fantastic trade. Not to mention, it also got us the Brad Lukowich goal!
