Lack might not be #1 next season

Listening to Dan Russell's show last night and they were discussing if Lack doesn't show more in the remainder of the season, they will go out and sign a veteran and Lack will go back to being backup next season. If this happens, it looks even more stupid and foolish trading off both Schneider and Lui. Total incompetence by Gillis.

That would have been my guess without anyone having to say it. Common sense, no?

You mean if Lack showed that he was inconsistent while he plays the role of Batman, you'd still name him the unquestioned starter for 2014? Any PeeWee coach would have been able to come to this conclusion.

Ignorant Thread, Lack has been great for a rookie coming in to the situation he did. Lack is the furthest thing from this team's problem

Well, as long as Mr. "I love the Canucks!" Dan Russell says so, it MUST be true. I think the team will be focused elsewhere and will roll the dice with Lack and Markstrom. If it isn't working, they can try to find a goalie via trade. Truly, there are bigger fish to fry this off season.

Pretty unfair to throw Lack in there the way they have and potentially ruin his development, especially with the whole Heritage Classic debacle and how the crowd was on him. Think it's very foolish to go with two very young and inexperienced goalies. Makes all the sense to bring in a veteran to help mentor Lack. Dan Russell tells it like it is, unlike tools and yes man at 1040 who do nothing but make every inconceivable excuse for Canucks and Gillis. Why do you find it so hard to believe this could happen? Especially when both Schneider and Luo have been both traded off for pretty much nothing.
