Recommended Posts

Trade One:

To Ottawa a package of either,

Dan Hamhuis - If he is willing to move east

+ or

Alex Edler - Who played phenomenally well alongside Karlsson in Sochi

+

To Vancouver

Curtis Lazar - Acquisition of Hemsky makes Lazar more expendable

Patrick Wiercioch - One Senator D would have to come back

Trade Two:

If Philadelphia gains interest

To Philly

Ryan Kesler

Brendan Gaunce

To Vancouver

Sean Couturier

1st 2014

Sign Matt Moulson @ 3 years for 4.5 - per year

Jensen Henrik Burrows

Daniel Couturier Lazar

Kassian Horvat Moulson

Higgins Matthias Booth

All can play 15 minutes a game.

Why on earth would you trade Dan Hamhuis? Personally I think we may be giving up too much in Trade 2. I would think Kesler should command Couturier and a 1st. Just my opinion though.

Plus Moulson will command more than 4.5 and if that is the case why would we play him on the third line?

You're proposing 2 guys who won't waive their NTC's, and have made that fact not so subtly known to the press.

As for PHI, their C depth right now is finally starting to come together, and Courturier is their shut down guy like Kes, plus he is younger, cheaper, and RFA after a few years. They are definitely going to hang onto that.

My guess is wait and see how the playoffs pan out. If PIT or CHI gets eliminated early, they might make a move for Kes at the draft.
