[PGT]Bye Playoffs?

Was surprised he didn't get moved at the deadline. Would have been a good pickup for a playoff team looking to bolster their third line depth.

Yup, perfect pickup for a playoff team. Guy plays playoff hockey and can add the odd goal ... usually of the amazing variety.

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon you."

AMEN BROTHA ...

Lol,amen.

while I love Hansen, JT clearly does not and Hansen has become a shell of the player he was under AV. It's sad the way JT has marginalized such a hard working, valuable player like Jannick. I would like to see him as part of a bigger deal at the draft, for his own sake.

Marginalized? You do know he is playing top 6 minutes over jensen right now when he shouldn't right? If anything torts likes hansen too much. He is a third liner that id all. Pretty much a plug

Hansen is still on his 1.3m contract this year. Wouldn't have been a UFA until after this season if not for his extension. Still tradeable, don't think his LNTC kicks in until his new contract does.

We could have the best bottom 6 in the league if we actually played our bottom sixers in the bottom 6..

This....so tired of seeing bottom sixers on the first line and players that deserve better minutes never rewarded..Torts need to give his head a shake..this guy bugs me to no end.

I'm not sure who you are referring too as far as who should be rewarded with bigger minutes. Imo with the injuries Torts is doing what he can with limited offensive talent on the team (top 6 talent).

Shaky, could you do some follow up on this statement so as to help me understand where you are coming from.

I like the idiots who say fire Torts when players like Matthais and the twins love the battle mentality he brings to the team.

People who complain that he doesn't manage ice time effectively need to wake up because minutes have been evening out much more now than earlier in the season as key bottom 6 players i.e. Kassian, Richardson, Booth, Matthais have been stepping up.

Torts has made some decision that are questionable, one of the obvious is the lack of PP time he's given Kassian. We have one of the worst PP in the league and yet very little has changed to try new things. We've struggled to score goals and yet our forth highest scored see's no PP time. What's up with that? The fact that he's 4th on the team in scoring would show that he's earned it. Any time he's had PP he's been the one who's controlled the zone and set up the PP.

He's big, he's got great hands, and decent vision yet he puts out hansen who has limited offensive abilities gets out there way more. It makes no sence in my mind. The team needs goals, that should equal, putting out offensive players who can score in more offensive area's.

If the youth is the future, and Kassian is supposed to be part of that, start giving him the opportunities to break out.

guess what last 10 games the pp has been clicking at around 24 percent so it has gotten better

I wonder if being an RFA year has anything to do with his lack of ice time. This sets up a crappy bridge contract for the next 3 years and by the time 3rd year hits, he should be in his prime making a big impact on this club.

On the other hand, it would be stupid of our organization not to ice the best line up possible as that could have been the difference between making the playoffs and missing it.

Regardless, we are in a good position with kass heading into negotiations this summer and that is still a silver lining.

Yeah I'm a big Kassian fan so I'm biased but ... I get not playing him top minutes because he's gotta figure it out in his own end and consistency wise. On the PP though he doesn't have to play defence ... it's more important to punish Kassian and send a message than it is to ice the best PP you can? Doesn't jive with me.

Because Torts, undoubtedly on the orders of Gillis, is trying to tank.

You see - everyone realizes that tanking is the best thing this team can do except for a few pie-eyed optimists in this forum!

<I tried sticking a smiley emoticon here but I couldn't get them to work.>

OH! I see I see

Boys we're not out of it yet. Minnesota has the toughest remaining schedule in the whole NHL. Ours is decent and we're at home for most of the remaining games. #believe

Are you serious? We have Anahiem twice plus LA....both have owned us. We might win 3-4 games tops and that is not enough.
