Edmonton at the draft

I have an idea

If Edmonton picks second overall, and buffalo picks ekblad, would Edmonton pick fleury ( a defenceman) or would they make the more likely pick and take Reinhart, they don't really need him so i suppose they would be up to trade him for a high end defenceman?

Just food for thought, what do you guys think?

Would Edmonton trade Reinhart? Would they keep him? Would they draft fleury?

:) :) :)

if ekblad is picked I see Edmonton moving down in the draft.

the more important question is what will NYI do. Van could potentially move up to their spot with their need to be a good team next year.

Florida also has a chance to drop to 2nd and Edmonton going up to 3rd

Edm needs D and centers. They'll take Reinhart or Bennett and be happy about it if Ekblad is gone. Then they'll rush Bennet or Reinhart in to the league and they'll get injured and the cycle never ends

LOL +1

Edmonton needs to trade us their first and Yak for Higgins, Hansen, and our first. Higgins and Hansen would go a long way toward making that team competitive and Yak give us top end skill.

The funny thing is, Kessler is EXACTLY what EDM needs,

Too bad we won't deal with each other.

EDM needs an intense veteran to jump start their kids

We need a top level kid to jump start our vets.

I think Reinhart for Kessler would be great for both teams.

And yes, I know Kessler won't waive to go to EDM so this deal will never happen.

You're being facetious...right?

Helps when you spell Kesler's name right ;)

Yes and no. The Canucks could use some of EDMs offensive skill and EDM needs some of Vancouvers's two-way players.

No, it doesn't.

It helps when you offer your insight on the topic being discussed.

If spelling is your thing perhaps an online Scrabble site would be more to your liking.

If not, try weighing in on the topic at hand.

I totally agree,

But it's Kessler they need, and it's RNH or their first rounder that we need.

I wonder if they do draft Reinhart, might they consider moving RNH?

I don't think he's as untouchable as some would assume. So far, he has had problems dealing with the physical toll the NHL schedule inflicts. He's actually appeared in over his head at times, like he's a little too frail to stand up to NHL physicality.

And for that same reason, we might not want him, even if he were available.

Yet you continue to spell Kesler wrong. Mind blown.

Any chance of taking you seriously is gone.

And I wouldn't do Reinhart for Kesler or Kessler. We'd have to get more value back than just him, it's not like he's MacKinnon or Drouin.

I'm more interested to see what they do with their 2nd rounder.

That's usually where things start to fall apart for them.

You might want to expand your life outside of CDC if the spelling of names hurts you this badly.

Girlfriend, hobbies anything...

Something like Kesler + our first for Yakupov + their 1st is something I would consider.

If we are giving up Kes + first, I want Taylor Hall or Jordan Eberle, not bustkapov.
