gmen81
Well this next week we play the 2 worst teams in the AL before we play the 0's next Monday. Angels and Twins. 6-0 or 5-1 is the only acceptable options here. O's open up a 4 game series against the Nationals on the road so they will be in tough then and then a 3 game set against the Yankees also on the road. Sox play 4 against Tampa and 3 against KC. KC is rolling right now and let's just hope the Rays can play spoiler.

Wilbur
Sucks that the bullpen coughed two games up, but this teams inability to get add-on runs is frustrating. Can't expect the bullpen to be perfect every single night, but it seems they have to be for this team to win.

This was a playoff like series and bullpen blew the games, you can't expect the team to always be up 5 runs a game to support your crap bullpen. We know with this team we can't expect our bullpen to be perfect every night that's why playoffs is going to be scary. But the amount of games the bullpen has cost this team this year already is ridiculous, your giving the bullpen way to much credit.

Cecil made a mistake, but it's a lot to ask that a pitcher go in and make zero mistakes every time he takes the mound. Goins made a mistake on the previous batter and if that hadn't happened, we wouldn't be talking about another blown save. However, you're absolutely right about the Jays' inability to produce add on runs lately. I actually liked Martin's approach yesterday. He stayed back on the two strike pitch and went with it. It was just unlucky that it was right at the right fielder. Still, that AB was the exception rather than the rule lately. Too many guys are still swinging for the fences, rather than going with pitches and taking the RBI single, or Sac fly.

Instead of recognizing that the team has enough power hitters and some guys just need to get on base or move a runner up, they all seem to see Edwin swing for the fences and want to get in on the act. STD Allegations 8/22/2016 12:23 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF Toronto Blue Jays superstar Edwin Encarnacion has been sued by a woman who claims he knowingly gave her multiple STDs during a romantic weekend ... TMZ Sports has learned. The woman behind the lawsuit claims she's a 24-year-old family friend of the MLB star who first met him in 2013. In her lawsuit, the woman claims she hooked up with one of Edwin's teammates in 2015 -- but was tested in December 2015 at a Planned Parenthood and was told she was clean. The woman claims she later hooked up with Edwin during a trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in February 2016 ... and had unprotected sex on at least 2 occasions. Problem is ... the woman claims she was in pain in the days after the hookup and thought she had Zika -- so she went to a doctor. She later learned it was NOT Zika -- but rather two STDs. The woman claims she contacted Edwin -- but he insisted he was clean and "suggested she may have picked up [the STDs] when they went 4-wheeling and she swam in the river." The woman says Edwin later backed off his claims about being STD-free -- and then stopped contacting her altogether. The woman claims she now believes he knew he was carrying STDs all along. The woman is suing Edwin for battery, misrepresentation of the facts and more -- and is demanding more than $11.5 MILLION to make things right. We reached out to Edwin's agent -- who told us "no comment." ======================================================== Woman sounds like an opportunist...hooked up with EE's teammate and then hooked up with EE in Punta Cana. Gotta laugh at EE's theory that the woman caught the STDs four wheeling or swimming in the river. Sounds like a Seinfeld episode.
