DylanA
Should Kassian get his chance on the 1st or 2nd line?
Hodgson!!
Depends on our line-up. Top 9 for sure.
The Stork
Should Kassian get his chance on the 1st or 2nd line? I'm starting to think that Torts doesn't like this guy and if I were Linden, Id hire a GM that will trade this guy cause clearly Torts isn't letting Kassian play top 6 minutes with Kesler, Hank etc
Maginator
Id say yes based on his play right now, but he hasn't proven himself consistently. This offseason build the team with him on the 3rd line.
Tom Sestito
You'd hire a gm to trade kassian? Cucumber p-lease
Tangerines
He will. The only reason why he hasn't recently is because this org wants to sign him for cheaper. He has 27 points 13 goals playing on the third line plus he has other intangibles. He would be a 20 20 for sure if he was in the top 6.
Absent Canuck
He should move to the second line next year. He is ready to be a 50 point guy.
JustABandwagoner
I would like to see him play on the 2nd line for sure. Give him a chance. Not like our team will be better nxt year.
Pears
He really should IMO. He's earned it over this last little stretch. You'd hire a gm to trade kassian? Cucumber p-lease Nah he ain't Cucumber. Probably Tiger's 50th account.
Gollumpus
Depends on our line-up. Top 9 for sure. Yup. If he comes to camp in shape (again), and he shows that he is capable of top-6 minutes then I would very much like to see him in that position. This being said, if need be Kassian could be very effective as a top-9 winger with 1st or 2nd unit power play time. regards, G.
HunterHorvatBure
Let's not push this guy. He's still immature, and if he fails on the 2nd line it's because he isn't ready. Some guys really need years to develop, it's how well and how fast players adapt to the game. In my opinion, I'd rather have Horvat getting 2nd line minutes. He will start off on the 3rd line next season but I see him making the transition, being a great compliment to whoever plays his wings. At this point, I don't see Kassian fitting in to any role other than a 3rd. If players like Kassian start getting 2nd line minutes then we just stay inconsistent as a team. Tortorella's Rant
Why the hell not. He's been one of the best players the last dozen games. If that's not deserving of a promotion then nothing is.

Let's be realistic, most of those goals are when the 3rd line is getting 2nd line minutes and line juggling where they throw him onto the 2nd
Silfverberg Snipes
As much as I like the guy his offensive charges come at usually an equal if not greater cost defensively. He's prone to really bad giveaways that I hope is just a product of inexperience.

HunterHorvatBure
so what your say'n is give him consistent top 6 min and he should score more? Well seeing that we had issues with injuries consistently this season, it would be fair to say that Kassian did see enough icetime to produce, but didn't do as much. Rotowire has him for an avg of 12:52 Toi, should be more than enough for him to prove himself.
hsedin33
There really isn't any "Top 6" on this team at the moment. Just a bunch of 3rd liners playing more minutes then others thanks to Gillis. Hopefully Linden facilitates a change and we build up an actual top 6 again.

SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
I'm torn on where to slot Kass into the lineup. Outside of that handful of games with the twins where he potted some goals, he's never looked better than he has recently is what's basically a third line role. And there's nothing wrong with having an effective third line. I'd be worried he might be less effective if moved to a top-six line with the Sedins or with Kesler. Maybe let him stay in a secondary role at 5v5 and also anchor the 2nd PP unit (where his playmaking ability could come in handy). I'd just hate to rush him into a higher role when we're only now seeing him play consistently solid hockey in his current role. It's not like he's peaked and can't develop further without changing his current usage. Ideally, this team moves to a more balanced lineup that can roll four effective lines. Maybe that structure means having a Sedin line, Kesler's line, and a line built around Kassian (plus a good fourth line).
Smashian Kassian
I think he needs more opportunity to reach the next level so yes, and PP time.
