Think you've been in the jungle too long there aeromatac... I think she will be able to learn her lesson without spending her critical development years behind bars.

no. when a teenager make jokes involving terrorism something must teach her on the hardest way avaliable that it´s not funny...

come on! people in USA suffered from this. inocent people, many of then not involved with military or anything like this. all of them just taking care of their own lifes...

some of then lost a friend due to a terrorist attack. sure they don´t find this funny. so since terrorists are cowards if you make jokes about terrorism that´s because something is really wrong with this society...

a teenager is capable enought to learn about serious things. so this girl make this "joke" to an airline and what she was thinking? "nothing will happen to me?". aham.

FBI/CIA for sure! questioning, cross-examination, life research, questioning with her parents and jail. 10 long years in jail to learn don´t do stupid things!

no way! serve as an example so other "jokers" will think TWICE before do this. 10 years in jail, closed regime, without parole and with lessons about what terrorism cause to inocent people on every single day.

there are limits for jokes. and when you cross that line something must be done...

Never going to agree with that. Guess you were a very mature teen who never acted out of sheer ignorance. I can't relate. I understand about the seriousness of what she did, but 10 years in prison. What could that possibly teach her, really.

I was educated with military education. I learned the diference between a funny joke and a bad joke...

I had my lunches with the soldiers, majors and some generals from the Brazilian Army/Air Force (since I was 6 years old) while my mom was having the same lunch with the other teachers from the Military School.

actually. It teached me a lot of things and I´m glad of this...

a funny joke is when everybody laugh and when the subject doesn´t involve racism or suffering of other people...

a bad joke is when you make another person suffer or remember of something really sad in the past.

sure I did (and still do) my stupid things but nothing serious like this. normally is only about extreme sports or jokes involving friends...

but considering the airplanes that crashed in World Trade Center towers where American Airlines´ airplanes that girl had a so terrible idea that if I were from the FBI I would investigate her entire life and her parent´s life and make tons of questions. 1 month in jail without contact with the outside world, alone. so she and her parents will learn the diference between a nice joke and a joke that will make people remember of a terrible thing...

this girl don´t have the proper education from her parents. for sure...

She may be a complete idiot and should know better at her age, but 10 years in jail?!?! Come on, I think a quick look into her background, a quick look around the house, and a stern talking to by law enforcement should cover it.

Also, I finally got around to searching the image that they used uncensored. LOL! That's hilarious.

10 years for a 14 year old, no parole/contact with the outside world for that? Is that you, Kim?

It teaches her about freedom -- freedom to say what you want, freedom to take responsibility for what you say.

I really dont think she would learn about freedom...she would most likely learn how to take a beating from other inmates at first, then she'll learn how to be a criminal from the other inmates as the years passed.

A naive and stupid 14 year old, spending 10 years of thier most influential years surrounded by criminals and devients, will most likely do that teenager far more harm than good. Atleast in my opinion.

She clearly understands freedom in the context of saying what you like, but the other part of freedom to understand is that it comes with responsibility. Given her tweets, she doesn't quite understand the latter part (not entirely surprising given this era of many spoiled, entitled kids growing up). And jail for ten years just might help her do so.

Why the hell did I just seek out that pic. I should have expected that I really didn't really want to see it. For those who are still curious, a toy plane is "landing" on errr "landing" in a runway it wouldn't usually land in....and the runway is not the best looking runway I've seen.

this girl must be in jail for at least 10 years to learn that jokes involving terrorism ARE NOT FUNNY AT ALL.

imagine somebody who lost a parent/friend due to a terrorist attack. do you think they will think this "joke" funny? no...

with the tension escalating all over the world and insurgent groups getting strong and bigger anybody can turn into a high suspect of terrorism involvement.

than this girl decide a "super uper" idea. hmmm. let´s make a "funny joke" with an Airline. hmmmm "I will pretend be a girl in Afghanistan and I will do something big..."

this "internet new wuppie generation" is going to destroy this planet. freedom is good but stupidity cannot be tolerated especially when it´s a serious subject...

really? what this girl espected? threatened one airline and just thought "I´m kidding..."?!

where are the parents of this girl to teach something about "don´t be stupid with serious things?"

"but this girl has more than 3.000 followers and blá,blá,blá"

sounds to me 3.000 ass@#%#$les following her

at least 10 years? Give me a break :picard:.

Minors who kill people generally don't even get 10 years.

I guess if the world started locking up Teens for 10 + years for being stupid, the bright side would be we would probably see much higher quality posts here on CDC.

Probation is what she will get, possibly being banned from the internet for some time and maybe added to the "no-fly" list for awhile.

Can't believe you would be out to ruin a young girl's life due to her doing something stupid at 14. Ridiculous!

The FBI will be involved and they have access to everything.

They will get the ip from the logs on Twitter, then they will get the location of that ip from the ISP...now if they had used an anonymous proxy, it would be harder (but not impossible) to trace.

Now that ip could be from a mobile phone, in which case they have the phone number, or from say a wi fi hot spot, or from a friends house - but they will look at all ip's that have posted from that Twitter account to determine where it's from.

It would be really hard to trace the IP back to the person responsible if they had used a wifi hotspot at a starbucks, mall etc. I don't know if their phone number can be traced by just tracing the IP if they used a wifi hotspot and not a 3G/LTE network.

That image is hilarious.

Is that AA employee?

When I saw that image I remembered what Triple H was saying to Stephanie McMahon.

"Its like a 747 flying through the Grand Canyon" That is what I had in my head when I saw the picture.

Maybe community service at most but 10 years in jail? You are crazy man, no way anybody gets that long of a sentence for just telling a joke, especially a 14 year old kid who doesn't know any better. I don't even think murderers in Canada get that long of a sentence.
