Baka
HELL NO! cRAP and hockey do not go together. Not a fan of the song in particular personally but why not? Why would any sport have a designated genre of music? I am sure plenty of hockey players listen to some rap to get pump up.
-AJ-
HELL NO! cRAP and hockey do not go together. Personally, I agree, though it has more to do with my general distaste for rap than the compatibility of rap and hockey.
TheXFactor
I personally believe metal and electric-styled music work best for hockey. Rap works better for Bball or Football. Then again Eminem is probably the only rapper I like.
Keccles
I know its a minor detail and doesn't effect the game but I wish the Canucks would just pick a solidrock/metal song as an intro song. For example Boston skates out to Cochise by Audioslave, Montreal skatesout to For whom the bell tolls by Metallica etc.. How awesome is that!? I get pumped just watching. I voteno more U2 songs about running and hiding and no more custom written rap-ish crap. "WEEE AARREE" lol

Rick Grimes
Sorry, I love rap, but that is cRAP. Here's a couple of songs I think are way better; (Naturally, may contain offensive lyrics, listen at your own "risk") http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xyj9g4M1alI#t=1m27s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sab9V14tEU and as somebody that likes rap - and rock, alot - Rap usually isn't the right fit for Hockey. Here are a couple of songs that get the blood flowin', and I think that's the goal with music at a hockey game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGbNq_flErA#t=0m43s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcSpFbRJ5Rc As for the Canucks entrance theme; My suggestion is still something by Rise Against. - but a local band would be best - if you can find one that doesn't suck and makes the right type of music. JeremyCuddles
If there is any rap at a Hockey game it better be Tech N9ne otherwise don't bother. I like some rap but it doesn't really fit. But I'd take rap over that Taylor Swift/Nicki Minaj s*** I hear at some games.
CanuckofSteel
I don't know what is about the Canucks, but the rap genre really seems to show love for the Vancouver Canucks. From real sh!tty rappers to solid ones, I have seen numerous rappers wear Canucks gear outside of Vancouver. Maybe it's the teams colours, logos, or name but many rappers seem to dig Canucks merchandise.

This song blows. The high pitched opratic style was miserable, the lyrics were cheesy and it sounds a bit too fast for the "family" atmosphere. I liked the instruments personally though. Bure.10
I personally believe metal and electric-styled music work best for hockey. Rap works better for Bball or Football. Then again Eminem is probably the only rapper I like. Why because hockey is dominated by whites and b-ball and football are dominated by blacks? I smell some bias and prejudice in this response. Is eminem the only rapper you like cause he's white? Cause there have been way better rappers than him
