nuckster33
He was ranked 140 ish prior to the Memorial Cup, today he was named the tourament MVP. I watched him play and was very surprised in that he was ranked so low prior, kid can skate, is 5'11 but stocky and has terrific hands (finish and passing). He had a ppg in the W, so is a decent player, curious what people's thoughts are. I would love to see us take him with our 3rd rounder if he falls that far now. Reminds me alot of Hudler in his style
Herberts Vasiljevs
Latvians, bra! Agreed though. I would love to see Vancouver pick him 66th.
Outsiders
On HockeyDb it says hes 6'0 178 but hes probably gained a bit so id say 182 which is good size so yes id like to see him taken with 66 if he makes it that far
Kazmanian Devil
I feel we should pick anyone with a cool nationality. So bribe the top 5 not to pick Draisaitl, take this Latvian next round, then in the 7th grab that Arab kid that Spoder was talking about.
Plum
Yeah he was a not a big name before the Memorial Cup tournament. but ever since he is becoming a noticeable player. He would have gone in the 5th-6th round range but after this tournament I think he is around 3rd-4th. He is a solid two-way player with good finish I wouldn't mind him. Sedins 55
He truly is good. We could pick him with the 66th and Tyler Bertuzzi with the 36th.
Jägermeister
He's a late birthday '94 (turns 20 in November), so that is why he is ranked so low. He was nothing more than a 4th liner in his draft year. He truly is good. We could pick him with the 66th and Tyler Bertuzzi with the 36th. Bertuzzi was drafted last year. 2nd round by Detroit.
canucks155
Damn, he's got as many points as Lazar. Not a bad gamble at 66th considering these picks don't really turn out. I just hope nobody takes him before 66.

He wasn't an overager this year either, overagers begin the season as 20 year olds. But still, every type of player generally improves statistically year to year in the CHL, not just physical players. Having one or two years of development over the majority of other players is always an advantage.
Pears
In the games I watched Kulda really stood out. He'd be a really nice late 2nd/early 3rd round pick.

He'd be a really nice late 2nd/early 3rd round pick. agree, that's my worry though, with his stats and his playoff and now memorial cup performance he's easy a 3rd rounder so someone before us or late second may grab him... really like his total package, very good compact skater, nice passing (see's the ice well) and the goals he scored showed he has some very nice hands when it comes to shooting... not to mention he raised his game in the playoffs and cup! Legend Killer
I'd be happy to take him in the 3rd round, but i thought Samuellson was the best player in the memorial cup.
motzaburger
We should look at taking Luke Bertolucci in the later rounds of the draft. He didn’t get drafted last year when he was eligible but now he has stepped up his game. I have met him a handful of times im from the same town as him (Trail,BC: Ray Ferraro, Landon Ferarro, Dallas Drake, Shawn Horcoff, Adam Deadmarsh, Steve Tambellini, Barett Jackman, Steve Mcarthy, Cesare Maniago, Richard Kromm) http://www.whl.ca/roster/show/id/10625 http://www.leaguestat.com/chl/memcup/en/stats/player.php?id=26729 Not the most amazing stats, but he played very well in the playoffs and Memorial Cup. He could be a good possible 3rd to 4th line guy and if not whatever its a gamble in the late rounds anyways and why not pick a home town boy and give him a chance. Christian Dvorak makes more sense as a gamble. Injuries, and roster depth could make him a steal. More playing time next year, kinda like what happened with Remi Elie. Sedins 55
Bertuzzi was drafted last year. 2nd round by Detroit. Come on man, how does Detroit draft so good. I think they have a fortune teller who helps them draft.
Plum
Come on man, how does Detroit draft so good. I think they have a fortune teller who helps them draft. Detroit looks deeply into every prospect they consider. Every little thing can make a huge difference in the future, if they show a glimpse of being a potential 30 goal scorer in the NHL they'll look into that.
