[Offical] Kesler traded to Anaheim

According to half of CDC, Kesler isn't going anywhere though...

I think this all revolves around Benning and Linden coming out and stating that while wanting to be competitive next year, knowing that they'll need another off year to right the ship.

At which point Kesler will know it is a wasted year and will be moved.

Pitts, Det, Ana, Tampa all the best or better trade partners right now unless CBJ moves Umberger and Kes goes there.

I really don't like Anaheim's prospects, as none of them seem to have top 6 potential aside from Etem (I see him as a Gagner). You can fill the depth roles with prospects that we draft and have, so I see no reason to deal with them.

@Bure to Mogilny - No worries.

You didn't enter a spelling-bee & the grammar police have no power on these fan-boards, either. Thanks for your contribution. I get your points.

Not to mention English might not be his first language.

i find it hard to read all these comments about we are tanking next year IF we trade Kesler??? we DID NOT make the playoffs this year with him!! And nobody knows what we will get back in return...we might actually be alot better next year with him GONE...it IS possible depending on the return and how those pieces fit into our teams dynamic and new coaching system. Kesler is not the be all end all to the Canucks ...he is simply a puzzle piece

He was the engine that continued to chug along when few others seemed to care. He's a 2c a team can win with

I like this response from Benning: ""Where it leads to, at this point I dont know." Here is a man with a plan.

How could he know how the talks go before they sit down? I sure he has a number of plans but at this point he needs the list of teams and to be sure kess wants out 100% before he moves.

He's a troll. Don't worry, he knows it. He's a very successful troll on these boards.

One of the better ones I've seen too. Must be a specialist.

On topic, the fact that GMJB isn't denying that Kes might be traded makes me believe that the rumors floating around near the deadline were true. However, if JB and TL want to compete for the playoffs next year, I don't see why they would trade Kesler. It's quite complex.

Kesler has had some unbelievable games. Great player. However considering the combination of his value and direction of the team I strongly feel he should be moved for future assets. It would br sad to see him go. I will cheer him on for another team(while they aren't playing vancouver).
