Blueberries
CONGRATS GERMANY THE 2014 WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!! World Cup Final: FINAL SCORE: GERMANY 1 : ARGENTINA 0 Where: Maracana Stadium When: Sunday June 13,2014 Time: 12:00 PM PST TV: CBC Sports Line ups: History between the two teams: Both Germany and Argentina historically boast of a rich World Cup pedigree and a culture of doing well at the highest level. It’s therefore slightly surprising neither side has had their moment of glory for well over two decades. This is going to be the third time the two face each other in a World Cup final which is surpassing the record they hitherto jointly held with the Brazil-Italy rivalry. For two successive editions of the World Cup in 1986 and 1990, the two occupied the slots in the final with each claiming the coveted prize once apiece. Maradona inspired Argentina came out winners in a scintillating contest in 86 whereas Germany exacted the revenge four years later in Rome in what is billed the cagiest of finals ever played. The rivalry has further intensified during the last two World Cups in particular with Germany having eliminated Argentina from two successive quarterfinals – humiliating them in the latter. Lionel Messi was mysteriously kept on the bench by then coach Jose Pekerman in 2006 while he was reduced to a non-entity in 2010 by Bastian Schweinsteiger. He therefore, more than anyone else, has a huge point to prove on Sunday. BurrsArrows
Groups B and G are the two groups of death in my opinion, maybe G by a hair. I'm cheering for Argentina but I think Germany is just too powerful this year for anyone to stop them. So excited, can't wait for the 12th! It's time for Gold, and hopefully this is the time. GO GERMANY!
canucks155
Brazil. I don't even watch much soccer, but they've got the most complete team IMO. Here's my rationale (keep in mind that this is purely based on players I've heard of, or who are good IMO): 4th Portugal: Goalie? I haven't heard of any of them 3rd Germany: No elite strikers. They've got Klose (35) but that's about it 2nd Spain: Weak at striker. A lot of ppl I know don't like Villa or Torres very much. 1st Brazil: A little thin at midfield, but they've got home field advantage as well. I'll say it again: I don't watch much soccer, so keep that in mind.

I've always watched, but I'm getting back into soccer after retiring from playing rugby so I'm starting to pick up on all the news around soccer. Kazmanian Devil
Cote D'Ivoire's last chance with Drogba. Got a manageable group this time, hopefully they'll make an impact this year.

Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
Cote D'Ivoire's last chance with Drogba. Got a manageable group this time, hopefully they'll make an impact this year. No way, man. If there was ever a chance, it was last world cup. Same goes for Korea. So many countries are going in anticipating defeat.

Jägermeister
Not much of a soccer fan, but the World Cup is always interesting. Going to be in Zagreb when Croatia takes on Mexico, and will still be kicking around the country by the end of the tournament. I hear they're nuts for the game over there, so I'm going to hop on their bandwagon. So despite being English; Go Croatia!

Tornado
I cant believe the lack of respect ORANJE has..what a joke..watch for Holland. Holland's team IS a joke... Not as strong as recent world cups for sure... I predict a 2nd round exit for them (if they can leave Chile and Australia behind them). Belgium is the team to beat
aeromotacanucks
We get it you hate your country. NOT TRUE! I hate how my country is being "managed" by our "politics" and so the vast majority of the Brazilian population is composed by ignorants who believe that soccer/football is the only solution for our problems as a country... so for those morons if Neymar is scoring thats ok even if we don´t have education, hopspitals, security etc... so I like Brazil but I don´t like the Brazil´s team... WC songs almost always suck, it seems this one was pretty neat though, and the video was great. Fat Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, fantastic
