Here is what seems to be the most powerful YT video from the show so far - Net Neutrality:

This is amazing and worth 14 minutes of your life.. It gets better and better.

Thank you for posting. I want to watch this show

don't want to create a new thread about it but does anybody here watch "Chuck"?

Chuck? As in the show that started 7 years ago and ended 2 ago? I did watch the whole series. It started off great, but got a lot worse towards the end. Though I have no idea what that has to do with this thread.

As for John Oliver, I thought that segment was alright, so I watched a couple more. His punchlines seem to be fairly miss and hit, and it's not like he has shown the greatest comedic presence so far. But I like the guy, and wouldn't mind watching to see if the show gets better. It's not bad.

Bill Maher on the other hand began to annoy the crap out of me a long time ago.

No such thing as a better version. You have Maher then you have everyone else as second fiddle

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember Oliver doing some "roving reporter" segments on RTwBM. I wouldn't be surprised if the shows were affiliated somehow.

Maher is involved with the show "Vice", so it's possible that he has something to do with this one as well.

In any event, I've seen a few episodes and I'm in complete agreement with Hugor. This is a great show and it's now on my Sunday "must watch" list.

The show is great and Oliver is a funny guy.

Realtime with Bill Maher (which I like) overall is a different program, if anything you can compare particular show segments but not the shows themselves.

Superior to Stewart and Colbert in terms of sheer content. Mostly because he's not wasting his time feeding his ego waiting for applause like they tend to do.

That being said, it seems that everyone tied to Stewart, except that dull blonde lady, has gone onto a decent hollywood career.

Yeah, this isn't an issue any more. It all flows so well now.
