But the buy-in was $10 and first place wins around $70 so i thought, "why not?" Anyway I need help. I have to predict the final rankings in the group stages. Here are all the groups. And these are my predictions. Group A Croatia Brazil Mexico Cameroon Group B Netherlands Spain Chile Australia Group C Colombia Greece japan Cote D'ivoire Group D England Italy Costa Rica Uruguay Group E France Honduras Ecuador Switzerland Group F Argentina Nigeria Bosnia-Herzegovina Iran Group G Portugal Germany USA Ghana Group H Belgium Korea Republic Russia Algeria So, how good are my predictions? Not bad actually...in Group E I would definately change Switzerland and Honduras..Switzerland is ranked 7th by Fifa Group F I would change Nigeria and Bosnia-Herz Group H I would change Russia and Korea.. The rest look pretty good for the most part and could go either way, I take it the top 2 in each Group you have for advancing..I dont know how good Fifa rankings are, they have Holland at 16 I think. I actually disagree with the Columbia advancing.. Falcao's out, and they've been in terrible form as of late. But I'm banking on Greece coming 2nd in the group, if they can score, they'll advance. Japan is going to be good with Kagawa and Honda controlling the middle I think they'll advance over Columbia. Tough break for England getting the group of death.. They won't advance. Bosnia should beat Nigeria who are also in poor form. And Russia/Korea is a tossup, everything else I'm pretty certain should fall like that. I for one believe Ramos and Martinez are good enough strikers to seriously trouble Japan and Cote D'Ivoire's weak defenders, especially with Rodriguez feeding them. GLASSJAW Posted June 6, 2014 Share Posted June 6, 2014 I don't know if Uruguay will advance because England and Italy are pretty solid teams, but there is no way they finish below Costa Rica Suarez is currently injured, and even though he'll be in the WC at some point, I wonder what his form will be. Uruguay has a very underrated team, and will be less troubled by the climate surely.
