Outsiders
I hear people saying Ehlers and Nylander are 5'11,162 and 180 respectively. I want to know if this is true or false infomation. If someone could post the results from the combine that would be great. Thanks -Outsiders
YEGCanuck
The Hockey News draft preview issue lists them both at 5'11". Weight 162 and 169 respectively.
c00kies
I remember someone linking to a site for last year's draft class, but I removed it from my bookmarks.

If someone could post the results from the combine that would be great. Thanks -Outsiders I have looked everywhere but no one seems to have official numbers. The 5'11" 162 for Ehlers is from Central Scouting and that info is definitely pre-combine (was actually his measurements at the beginning of the season). Nylander's measurements are more uncertain as Central Scouting sourced their info elsewhere. http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=1681995 Myself and others are a little miffed that this info is being withheld but oh well. Should be interesting to see what the numbers end up being at the draft.
elvis15
Nope. The best I've seen is this site, with top 10s of each of the testing results: http://www.topendsports.com/sport/icehockey/nhl-combine-results-2014.htm Of course that only helps for the tallest and heaviest players, and not Ehlers and Nylander. elvis15
Google is your friend. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2081868-nhl-combine-2014-full-results-measurements-highlights-and-top-prospects And yet that just says the combine list, and then below that for the actual tests it says combine results. It doesn't specifically say those were the measurements from the combine themselves and we've seen other reports of different measurements from other sources. Do you really think the Bleacher Report would have the scoop on all the other sources for the most recent/official heights and weights of players? Absent Canuck
I have heard through basic word of mouth Ehlers is 6ft now and 176 pounds. Even if you dont believe that nobody thinks he is the same 5ft 11 162 pounds that he was measured at last September. He was virtually the same height as Drouin at the beginning of the year and is now noticeably taller. He has also been listed at 176 by many -albeit unofficial- sources. I dont understand why their heights and weights have to be shrouded in some kind of national security secrecy.
TOMapleLaughs
All recent Ehlers pics show him to be incredibly skinny. 165ish. He'll likely peak at 190lbs. Years and years from now. He simply doesn't have the frame for rapid mass gain. Nylander looks a bit thicker. 170-175 perhaps. Will again be a 190ish NHLer, tops. imho these body types are too undersized for our division. This 'hockey iq' intangible among them, ie. small speed, is nullified by the size of equally smart, bigger hockey players. Esp. outside of the preseason. Only in rare cases do you end up with a Kane or a MSL, and those players are at least twice as skilled as Nylander and Ehlers. The reason these weights aren't being reported is obvious. The Nhl wants to control the draft to help it's favoured markets. Year after year do you see small weaklings or outright goons being picked up WAY too early by Canadian teams. Leaving the legitimate talent to make it's way down south. Here's hoping the Canucks counter this trend. It would help secure a cup win, for starters. Keep ticket sales up secondly. I think Canadian fans are getting tired of all the Nhl's 'subsidize the south' bs.
