aGENT
We obviously bought him out to make a roster spot available for Mallet. I heard we're bringing back Shirokov.
BananaMash
I heard we're bringing back Shirokov. Did you say we're bringing back Bure? Because Shirokov sure sounds a lot like Bure to me.
manudibango
Woohoo! Let the changes begin. Booth was a waste of cap space and never really fit in. We're in good hands in JB and Linden. Expect a cup in 2-3 years Canuck fans. I guarantee it! 2-3 years ?? And U guarantee it??? Take your pill , all of it

-AJ-
I'm kinda sad actually. Booth looked to be improving a bit and he was definitely one of my favourite Canuck characters. Hopefully he does well wherever he goes.
aGENT
I'll never for get AV's frown when Shiro scored that goal. AV was obviously trying to protect the zero zero tie and he ruined it!
-AJ-
Waste of a buyout. 1 year left? UGH This is the last year that compliance buyouts can be used, so it would only be a waste if there were someone else to use it on that would be better for us. That said, I hope Benning isn't buying Booth out just so we can say we made use of both our compliance buyouts.
Cupless44
After one bad season? I'm glad your not the GM. I don't think Burrows under consideration for buyout is that far fetched. He is a declining 33 year old and Canucks are on the hook for four more years at 4.6 million. Another example of the bad contracts and NTCs Mike Gillis left this organization saddled with. Dogbyte
Guess it wasn't God's plan after all. I'm glad that God paraders are not going to be part of this team in the future. Hamhuis is cool though.

Caboose
Could you imagine him with the Sedins... omg. The slowest line in NHL history?
-AJ-
Weird. 1 year left and had been playing real good at the end. Oh well. Maybe JB has a FA he's eyeing down and needs the money? This is what I'm thinking. The only reason JB should do this is to make room for a big FA.

Jagori
I don't see an issue with this decision, Booth has never lived up to his paycheck, and even though he is 1 year left, who else can we buyout that makes sense? This should have been done last year... Oh well. Cap space galore!!! Who can we sign now?
timberz21
Waste of a buyout. 1 year left? UGH Why would it be a waste. We only have to pay 2/3rd of his salary instead of the full 4.25. And it frees up a roster spot for Jensen, Horvat or Shinkaruk, which will give them 1 more year NHL experience and should end up with similar TOI and PTS as Booth would have done. I say it's a win-win for the Nucks.
Toews
I remember you guys being quite excited about Booth coming over and a good lot of people were very impressed with his play in his first few games as a Canuck. It seemed like after that knee on knee injury he could never replicate that form. I also remember how excited Florida fans on HF were after he put 30, he was shaping up to be their young powerforward. The Richards hit really hampered his career, its been disappointment ever since with David Booth. I hope he can still salvage a decent career moving forward as a depth player. Frankly, at the time 4.6 per year for 4 years wasn't that bad of a deal for Burr. Maybe a tad high, but not really. It looks terrible now, but at the time, most people were pleased with it.
