Is the KHL REALLY such a threat to the NHL that they won't allow EA to include the KHL or is it sheer peevishness? Certainly it can't be the KHL saying no, or can it be? We get pretty much every other league in the world that matters (to my delight). I have to go back to my old PS2 NHL 09 to play my beloved Amur. Sucks. Rick Grimes Posted June 21, 2014 Share Posted June 21, 2014 I may do some more research on this, and I may be wrong - but from what I understand the KHL wanted too much money for the rights to their league for EA to afford. The NHL series is developed by EA Vancouver - which to my knowledge is a rather small branch of EA, it is why the game isn't better invested in, not to mention it is the least selling of the sports franchises from what I've heard - again, I may be wrong, and would LOVE to be proven wrong about that, but based on the number of times I run into the same people..... I'd like to draft a player like Sonny Milano or Jack Eichel on my team. Couldn't even get Jacob Trouba until the new roster updates came out. Anyone know why? The agreement is that the player must play at least one game in the NHL or another league to be in it, like Kuznetsov. Also the number of actual quality prospects from each draft, as well as giving them proper overalls. (a first overall pick shouldn't be a 70 overall, rather around 83 or so give or take.)
