Why stop there?  Add on fans of other teams, people that don't watch hockey, maybe run a survey in China.  There must be a few more out there.

Seriously though, StarGirl, the only similarity between Raymond and Virtanen is that they are fast skaters.  That's it.

how about speeding down the wing, going behind the net and out the other side, followed by a weak shot or giva-away?

With the insane schedule and the three 6 game road trips in the first half of the season,,Fatigue is the reason everyone isn't at their best, not just Jake

I 100 % agree with this statement and have been called a complainer for saying such. But its the truth about the Canucks stale mate. I expect play-offs considering they are only a couple points out and have played their worst part of the yearly schedule! Be no excuses if they don't pick it up with the easier Jan ,Feb and March!

Exactly.

What a weak comparison....totally opposite types of players.

Maybe they have the same hair color?

Note to self: Mason Raymond is a trigger word

.. it’s a booby trap.

Jake reminds me of Frank Corrado .

Just curious...

Green doesn’t seem to have tried putting Virtanen on LW with Pettersson. He seems to have the physical attributes and skill set to be able to fill this role.

Why not?

Surely he could learn some truculence and be shown how to fight if required.

I feel this kind of role may be the best path for Virt’s career.

Only 4 Canuck players have played all 50 games - Granlund, Horvat, Eriksson, and Virtanen

Guess its down to three now for next game.

Interesting that Virty was an extra...fighting through injury or message sending by Green?

What's the message? Stop playing so well? Be more like goldobin lol?

showcasing Goldy before the extended break maybe? there should be a lot of scouts in the building on wednesday, not to mention a possible deal with Carolina.

That has to be the reason. Jake's been playing great. Hopefully Benning gets something solid for Goldobin.

Jake could use the break.  This playing guys all 82 games, with the speed of today's game, is crazy to me.  We should try to give guys rest, especially now we have depth.
