baumerman77
So what are the chances McCann makes the WJC team this year? He was not invited to the development camp which starts next week.
BanTSN
This article is primarily about McCann's coach and his system The articles' contents looks like a regurgitation of what the Canucks did to boost offense under AV. It's designed to make the Leafs' new boy toy look like a super genius, when really there's nothing new about his or Keefe's strategies. Anyone objectively looking at their situation will automatically ask themselves why Carlyle looked like a coaching god in Anaheim, but a total dud in Toronto. The answer should be obvious. Where's Wellwood
So what are the chances McCann makes the WJC team this year? He was not invited to the development camp which starts next week. Because he wasn't invited to the camp, the chances are low. He'd need to play absolutely amazing to get named to the team. He'd probably get a look if there are injuries but you never wish for injuries.

Theres a chance he makes it but only if a few guys make the jump to the NHL and there are maybe an injury or two to other guys. Id love to have Horvat, Virtanen and McCann all make it, that would be the best and most exciting WJC since the Hodgson and Subban tourny for nucks fans. DeNiro
We'll definitely have a few teams to follow this season. Canada could have Horvat and Virtanen, and possibly McCann. USA will have Demko and possibly Cassels. Sweden will have Forsling.

Honky Cat
Was looking through a lot of the 2014 NHL mock drafts...McCann was projected to go around 12th....I'm sure that Benning couldn't believe his luck having McCann fall to us at #24.... Plum
Was Forsling invited to Sweden's camp? I think Cederholm was. Cederholm might play in the AHL too which will stop him from playing in the World Juniors? Not 100% sure if that's a rule or not but he is playing pro... We'll definitely have a few teams to follow this season. Canada could have Horvat and Virtanen, and possibly McCann. USA will have Demko and possibly Cassels. Sweden will have Forsling. Forsling will be in tough to make it, if Cederholm goes back to Portland he'll be on the team.

Which is weird. Rumours are Benning's fielded more then a few calls regarding McCann, which were short. Must be some playoff powerhouses interested in McCann. Which is great news for us. If other GM's are interested, then we got a dandy of a pick.

How did he fall so far? What was the concern that other teams had with McCann that caused him to fall to 24th?
JeremyCuddles
How did he fall so far? What was the concern that other teams had with McCann that caused him to fall to 24th? Think it was a draft for need thing. Seen skilled wingers go where they weren't suppose to, some d-men moved up. This draft was considered the hardest to predict with all the players in the 15-40 range all pretty hard to gage. And no one really stands out outside the top 10. DeNiro
Forsling will be in tough to make it, if Cederholm goes back to Portland he'll be on the team. Nah, Forsling has a better shot than Cederholm. Forsling won a gold medal with Sweden in the U17's scoring the most goals by defensemen in the tournament. He also played in the U18's for Sweden where he was solid.
