Roughly 14 million to spend on two roster spots

Assuming Tanev gets around 2.5 mil, Kassian gets 1.5, and Hansen is on his way out (Dorsett makes him expendable IMO), we have roughly 14 million to spend on two roster spots.

We obviously have holes in our top 6 and on D, so what is the best way to spend this money? Does Benning sign a goalie?

What are some options people like? Statsny? Bolland? Boyle? Niskanen? Iginla? Richards?

your missing hansen. I think Kassian-Bonino-Jensen will be a good second line

I believe one or two of: Higgins, Hansen, & Burrows. will be dealt. Burrows being the less likely of them imo; but maybe its his time. Gotta shed some bottom 6 contracts still. Probably will deal a few of those guys for some youth or 2nd-3rd round picks or future considerations.

Like the look of it so far but I still believe there's going to be more action. I cant see Hansen staying given his NTC but I guess we will see. :D

Thanks for taking time to put this together.

I think probably keep Weber or exchange him for another 6-8 dman, maybe a million there.

If they keep Hansen that's 11.5 for another forward and maybe a goalie upgrade.

$8 million for a top UFA forward. Leaves about $4.7 for a goalie if Marmstrom is moved.

I really hope they don't overpay for anyone. Just because you have the cash, doesn't mean you need to spend it.

I'd rather see a youth movement and another top 10 pick next year.

You pay a little extra when you're looking to make that final push, not start the process.

If Vancouver continues to draft well and develop properly, then in 3-5 years you can go all-in on a free agent or two to make a run.

I would say bring in Iginla to play with the twins, as we need them to have a good year. Then, did Matt Moulson get signed?

And, I'll say it again, Ehrhoff, he'll give us a pp that we will desperately need.

I definitely think we need a #1 goalie (Hiller) with Lack as the back up. Past that we need a real solid 2nd line winger and a true #1 defence man.

5.5 mil for Boyle, and 7 mil for Statsny?

Not a whole lot left for a goalie. Not sure that is going to be a priority.

Or

5 mil for Niskanen, 4 mil for Hiller, 5 mil for Iginla?

All on short term deals.
