J.I.A.H.N
No waivers..... And just as a matter of fact...….the buy out can be financed through his agent Who can and should have an agreement in place with the Canucks prior to buying him out.... Simple, really. 2

Popular Post Jester13
Benning likes to make moves that we don't see coming, and bringing Tree back early could very well be something he's working on. 1 1

That would be the most exciting part of the offseason. Getting the big Tree back this year would be such great news. 1 1

Pete M
Million dollars to buy out his contract is money well spent to bring Try back early...they've waste millions of dollars on a player like LE...the million dollars would be chump change. Tryamkin, Schenn, Hughes, OJ to replace the garbage to make the D better....because we all know the "D" needs to get better in order to allow the forwards to flourish. 1

Agreed, plus it would be a move in good faith, strengthening the relations between player and organization.

The only "garbage" we had on D. was Pouliot and all the garbage injuries to Tanev and Edler... The D this year is going to be much better because we won't have to play Edler and Tanev so much with Stecher and Hutton improving on a solid year and Hughes and Juolevi coming on board. I hope Try come back...but we really only need his size on the backend...once Woo is ready to go we will have some grit...

Tanev and Hutton were garbage last year in regards to what is needed to make this "D" better...Hutton and Tanev were both minus munchers and could't make the first pass; they created a lot of fire drills as well as Poo. ...time to move on and get better. There was a stretch of about 10 games where he played well (other teams' fans wouldn't have noticed him). Most of the season he was pretty poor, lots of turnovers and poor coverage. He stood up for his teammates a few times this year which was nice, and he does give it his best. I hope he becomes our 7th defenseman or finds success on another team. You're taking my speculation and layering it with another layer of speculation. If they do trade his rights, they'll be getting pennies on the dollar. I just think they'll want to move on from the drama. It's pretty clear that he, really, doesn't want to be in Van. If he did, he'd be there. Well I think he'll be free in March sometime after about the 2nd round again in the KHL playoffs. In time for our playoffs, providing the league is notified.
