putin347
Buffalo has just bought out offensive Dman, Christian Ehrhoff. We all know that Christian Ehrhoff played his best hockey with the Vancouver Canucks. Since the Canuck is really in need of an offensive defenseman and a powerplay specialist, this would be a fantastic signing for us. Erhoff cooperated greatly with the sedins during his time here. Bottom line is, we need offensive defencemen on this team. Apart from Edler, right now we have NONE. Erhoff's homecoming would be most welcomed. What do you guys think? Spread the word!!!! Cheers!!! aqua59
That would be interesting. I wonder if he would have continued to be as effective if he stayed in Vancouver?

cbdoubleu
Hard to develop our younger D men if we sign Ehrhoff. It's 3 years too late.
Coconuts
I'd welcome him back if he'd take a reasonable contract. I'm not sour about how he left, if someone offered me a crazy contract like Buffalo did I'd take it too. Henrik, Danny, and Eddie were at their peak when Hoff was player rover. He'd boost our powerplay. If he just wants another payday, good luck to him elsewhere.

Gross-Misconduct
Yes. But why stop there? Bring back Kesler. Trade Lack for Luongo. Go after Raffi Torres. Dig up Aaron Rome. Give up future draft picks for Lapierre. Tanev straight up for Salo. Hire back AV...

canucks155
Before, I would've loved to get him back, but we already have 8 quality dmen. Edler Hamhuis Tanev Sbisa Bieksa Weber Corrado Stanton I don't really care that he left, defense is the least of our concerns. The forward group might be one of the worst in the NHL w/ our 2 top 6 forwards being in their mid 30's. We can't win the cup, we might as well do what Buffalo is trying to do and take a run at McDavid or Eichel. I hope he goes to a team like Detroit so it intrigues Edler to want to be moved. Hopefully he doesn't say it in public and ruin the rate of return like some douche who wears #17 did.

SabreFan1
Ehrhoff made $18million in the first two years of his contract. That was why he signed his contract 3 years ago. Here's an article on the whole situation. http://blogs.buffalonews.com/sabres/2014/06/tim-murray-to-buffalo-news-sabres-have-started-process-of-buying-out-christian-ehrhoff.html
dragon4401
Why do we want him? Thought the plan was to get younger not older
darkpoet
Talk about jackpot. He gets bought out early in a $40 Million contract, and then goes straight into Unrestricted Free Agency in a year where he's likely the top offensive D-man available. Riches ! putin347
Offensive guys with defensive responsibility like Ehrhoff are hard to come by. A team needs a balance of defensive dmen and offensive dmen. We can always just sign him for 2-3 years. 4 is the maximum i would go for. By signing him, yes we are getting a little older, but we need to address the lack of scoring from the blue line problem.
